A fan's fantastic Bloodborne cosplay turns them into a deadly Hunter, complete with the transforming Trick Weapon the Saw Cleaver. FromSoftware's 2015 action role-playing game takes gamers to the gothic fantasy city of Yharnam, where a deadly beast plague must be thwarted by a ritual hunt. The title's colorful cast of characters has inspired plenty of artistic tributes, with a cosplay of Bloodborne's Lady Maria bringing the iconic boss battle in the Astral Clocktower to life.

Following in the footsteps of FromSoftware's Dark Souls series, Bloodborne is an action RPG in which players can create a character and fight to overcome a truly unforgiving fantasy world. Cast as a Hunter who must stop the spread of the beast plague, players must conquer overwhelming enemies and truly monstrous bosses as they venture further and further into Yharnam. However, amongst these villainous figures, there are also allies for the player to encounter, such as a porcelain caregiver called The Doll and an aging Hunter named Eileen the Crow. Much of Bloodborne's cast has been immortalized by fans in the form of cosplay, with a particularly impressive cosplay of Bloodborne's Micolash recreating the bizarre boss' massive head cage.

Adding to the community's impressive collection of cosplays, Twitter user Kirakanjo has transformed into Bloodborne's playable Hunter. While the role-playing game includes many different outfit sets for players to wear, this cosplay perfectly recreates the well-known Hunter Set down to its strangely fringed hat. Perhaps even more impressive than the costume is Kirakanjo's recreation of the Saw Cleaver, a Trick Weapon that can act as a short-range saw or extend into a massive cleaver. The cosplayer's Saw Cleaver can really extend, making it an authentic companion for the large Blunderbuss also wielded by Kirakanjo.

Despite releasing in 2015, Bloodborne's unique blend of gothic horror aesthetics and Soulslike gameplay has made it an enduring classic. While Kirakanjo pays tribute to the title through cosplay, other fans have honored the game with an upcoming Bloodborne PSX demake. The ongoing project rebuilds the nightmarish title as a classic PlayStation game, complete with blocky graphics and an old-school user interface. After ten months of development, it has been announced that the Bloodborne demake will release on PC on January 31, 2022, allowing fans to experience the game in an entirely new way.

Bloodborne features a truly unique art style and fashion design, with the game merging gothic Victorian style with brutal blood-soaked fantasy elements. The Hunter's iconic garb is instantly recognizable to any fan, and Kirakanjo has faithfully designed their Bloodborne cosplay along with the powerful Saw Cleaver. With the tools and wardrobe needed to fight the beast plague, it is clear that Kirakanjo has developed plenty of eyes on the inside.
