A webcomics creator has shared their latest work online, a Bloodborne crossover that brings the socialites of the sitcom Frasier to the Blood Moon-lit streets of Yharnam. FromSoftware released the Sony-published Bloodborne approximately six years ago on PlayStation 4, and fans have patiently awaited a sequel in the intervening time.

To its credit, FromSoftware has been incredibly busy since 2015, releasing no less than three major titles of consequence. Dark Souls 3 hit stores shelves in 2016, followed by the PlayStation VR title Déraciné in 2018, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice in 2019. Interestingly, of the three, it was Déraciné that sparked further discussion about the future of FromSoftware's 2015 hit, due to a Bloodborne Easter egg. To the chagrin of many a fan, Director Hidetaka Miyazaki divulged the nod counted as little more than a cool reference and should in no way be construed as a Bloodborne sequel tease. Thus, fans far and wide have taken to making their own fun.

Twitter user Joe Chouinard is one such fan. As a webcomics writer and illustrator, Chouinard approached Bloodborne from a different angle, creating a comic where the Frasier and Niles characters from Frasier visit FromSoftware's plague-ridden world. (Readers should be warned that the comic in question, hilariously titled Craneborne, does feature a few Bloodborne spoilers.) The comic itself is incredibly well-done, featuring winks and nods that are bound to please Bloodborne and Frasier fans alike. For the latter group, Chouinard even slipped in a clever joke about Maris, Niles Crane's wife who never actually appears on-screen in the series.

For fans still in search of a solid Bloodborne fix, there's no telling when such a time may come. At present, FromSoftware is hard at work on Elden Ring. Bandai Namco will publish the new project, whose lore and world FromSoftware created in conjunction with A Song of Ice and Fire novelist George R.R. Martin. As of writing, details about Elden Ring are also rather scarce, but the role-playing title could hit store shelves sometime this year.

Even if a sequel to Bloodborne doesn't enter production in the near future, hopes are high that the beloved experience could receive some much needed rejuvenation with a PlayStation 5 upgrade. Players especially crave a 60fps update for Bloodborne, but neither Sony nor FromSoftware have so much hinted at the possibility.
