A fan-made trailer for Bloodborne 2 imagines a sequel that rebuilds Yharnam, and crafts other exotic locations, within Unreal Engine 5. Released in 2015, FromSoftware's gothic horror soulslike abandoned the knights and dragons of Dark Souls in favor of cobblestone streets, werewolves, Trick Weapons and eldritch gods. While some rumors claim that Bluepoint Games is making Bloodborne 2, as of writing there has been no official announcement of a sequel to the FromSoftware classic.

While it does follow the basic formula of Demon's Souls and Dark SoulsBloodborne manages to deliver a wholly original experience. The game's combat system emphasizes aggression over defense, with the Hunter player character moving at fast speed and recovering health by quickly counterattacking foes. Various Trick Weapons, which can instantly switch between two distinct forms, also make the Bloodborne combat system stand out from other soulslikes. Since its launch in 2015 fans have been clamoring for a sequel to the Lovecraftian RPG, but unfortunately this dream has yet to become reality. Last year a Bloodborne 2 fan trailer was released, which proposes a multiplayer arena mode and new locations, and now another fan creation has been released.

A fan-made Bloodborne 2 trailer, posted to YouTube by ENFANT TERRIBLE, uses Unreal Engine 5 to create a breathtaking return to Yharnam. The video, which features the work of several artists and developers, captures the dark and gothic atmosphere that fans would expected from a Bloodborne follow-up. Much of the video rebuilds Yharnam, suggesting the city would be the primary setting of the hypothetical sequel, but the trailer also seems to depict other lands like snowy mountain ruins and the sandy region of Loran. While Bloodborne 2 is sadly yet to be announced, this fan-made Unreal Engine 5 trailer proves that the sequel could be an artistic masterpiece.

While Bloodborne 2 may not be coming any time soon, the newly-announced pixel game The Last Faith seems to be heavily based on FromSoftware's terrifying title. The gorgeous Metroidvania game, developed by Kumi Souls Games and revealed during Future Games Show, is a side-scrolling adventure through a gothic fantasy world. The title's cloaked protagonist and grotesque enemies look like they walked straight out of Yharnam, but The Last Faith also features an amazing pixelated art style that serves as a love letter to classic games like Metroid and Castlevania.

The original Bloodborne brought Yharnam to life in its stunning and scary glory, but Unreal Engine 5 makes the Bloodborne 2 fan trailer even more gorgeous. The sequel concept would bring Hunters to an even more atmospheric version of the city, along with other equally unsettling locales, in pursuit of blood. Bloodborne 2 is sadly a mere dream, but ENFANT TERRIBLE managed to give a glimpse outside of the nightmare.
