One of Netflix's latest reality shows is Bling Empire, which follows the real-life Crazy Rich Asians of Los Angeles, showcasing their luxurious lifestyles. The audience's window into L.A.'s elite is model Kevin Kreider. He is from Philadelphia and portrays himself as being an average Joe. This might not be entirely true, as it has been reported that Kevin has a lot of money. However, his rumored wealth is reportedly not as great as most other Bling Empire cast members' wealth. While wealth is the last of Kelly Mi Li and Andrew Gray's worries, their relationship is whole another story.
While money and lavishness might be at the forefront of Bling Empire, the thing that keeps audiences coming back for more is the sheer drama. Whether it is a jewelry-gate situation between Christine Chiu and Anna Shay, finding Kim Lee's long lost father, or dealing with the possibility of a surrogate, the drama never stops. The truth is that Anna has drama in some way, shape, or form with everyone and is central to the show's success and fans love her for it! Kelly and Andrew were, for all intents and purposes, the most drama-filled couple of the season.
Kelly and Andrew's problems started right away in episode one of Bling Empire. Andrew surprises Kelly with a whirlwind private jet trip to Paris for a shopping spree, thanks to Anna Shay. While there, Anna and Kelly leave the hotel to go shopping and leave Andrew to catch up on some sleep. When he wakes up, he is more than a little peeved and calls Kelly to express his frustration. The ensuing argument is caught on camera for Anna and the rest of the world to witness, and witness they did. It was a knock-out drag-out fight between Kelly and Andrew that set the rest of the season in motion for them. Andrew screams and cries about being left behind, and it is the final straw for Kelly.
Shortly after the trip, they visit a relationship counselor, and Kelly decides it would be better if they broke up. Andrew moves out, and it seems like their relationship has come to an end. By the end of the season, Kelly decides it would be better if they stopped being friends too. So what happened after the season? For six months post-Empire Bling wrap, the couple stayed apart, and then the pandemic happened. Perhaps it was loneliness from quarantine something else, but they are now back together. Andrew and Kelly have been together for six years on and off.
It looks like what audiences saw in Bling Empire was just a sliver of their actual lives. Hopefully, the fans will learn more about these two as time goes by.
