Netflix’s hit reality show Bling Empire season 2 dropped last week and according to star Kane Lim, Rihanna is “obsessed” with it. Bling Empire debuted in 2021 and was inspired by the hit book-turned-movie, Crazy Rich Asians. Bling Empire follows the lives of wealthy Asians and Asian Americans living their dream lives in Los Angeles, California. Narrating the show is Kevin Kreider, who brings a dose of reality to the group, being the only one from a humble background.

Kane Lim is somewhat the glue that holds the group together. He is friends with everyone and took Kevin under his wing. Kane, who is from Singapore, comes from a billionaire family with dealings in real estate, oil, and shipping. However, he is not just a trust fund baby, but also an entrepreneur who is trying to make his own mark. Kane recently revealed that he obtained his real estate license and was hired by Selling Sunset’s The Oppenheim Group.

Kane’s role in Bling Empire also led to other lucrative opportunities. The shoe-obsessed star recently told E! News that he became friends with Rihanna when she DM'ed him. He gushed, “No one’s bigger than Rihanna, I’m sorry. She’s actually really sweet, and I’m like, ‘How do you have time to respond to me when you have like 100 million followers?’” He added, “She loves the show, by the way. She loves—obsessed with it.” Kane and Rihanna’s DMs evolved into him working for her. He became the first Southeast Asian face of her company, Fenty Beauty.

Rihanna is not the only celebrity fan of Bling Empire. The super-rich cast is no stranger to rubbing elbows with the rich and famous. In a Bling Empire season 2 episode, cast member Anna Shay casually walked into her own party with the legendary pop-star Paula Abdul by her side. Even the world-famous DJ and Bling Empire star Kim Lee couldn’t contain herself as she met the 80's music icon. Another celebrity who made an appearance on Bling Empire season 2 was actor Lewis Tan, who starred in Mortal Kombat and Deadpool 2.

As Bling Empire gets bigger and gains more traction, hopefully, more celebrities will make cameos on the show. Guy Tan, who is a well-known Los Angeles hairstylist and color master, has been featured on Bling Empire since season 1. He is good friends with Kim and has been a celebrity hairstylist for years. With Kane now being tight with Rihanna and working for her brand, fans would love to see her make an appearance in Bling Empire season 3.
