Netflix's latest reality show is Bling Empire and one of its most prominent and wealthiest stars is Anna Shay. The show follows the real-life Crazy Rich Asians of Los Angeles, showcasing their luxurious lifestyles. The audience's window into L.A.'s elite is model Kevin Kreider. He is from Philadelphia and portrays himself as being an average Joe. This might not be entirely true, as it has been reported that Kevin has a lot of money. However, his rumored wealth is reportedly not as great as the wealth of most other Bling Empire cast members. In fact, one of the most affluent cast members is Anna Shay, and she has been very rich her entire life.
The show displays the well-heeled socialites of Los Angeles, and viewers love it when they have their dramas. Anna tends to be in the center of the storm. Whether she is trying to figure out how to separate wealthy entrepreneur Kelly Mi Li from Andrew Gray, or going toe to toe with Christine Chiu, Anna is part of everything. Anna Shay is incredibly wealthy, with a net worth of over 600 million, and has plenty of time to hold her fellow castmates accountable for their actions. Her games with Christine echo certain aspects of the Charles Dickens novel, Great Expectations. She allows Christine to think she can humiliate her by wearing a piece of jewelry that is similar to one she owns but turns around for a clap back that is delivered in the most cunning way. Anna is no stranger to high-class shade.
She was raised with extreme wealth. Anna explains on the show that her father never wanted her to work, and so she hasn't. Instead, she spends her time traveling to Paris on her private jet, acquiring custom made haute couture and jewelry, and playing socialite games with the other rich denizens of Los Angeles. Anna is also incredibly generous, as she bankrolled a Paris trip for Kelly's birthday, as well as a knockout shopping spree. She also offered model Kevin his first pair of Dior tennis shoes, which made him question her intentions. She is just that kind of person.
Bling Empire fans want to know exactly what her father did to amass such wealth. Well, according to billionaire's son Kane Lim, Anna's father Edward Shay was in the weapons business. Edward founded PAE (Pacific Architects & Engineers) in 1955. The company had weapons and defense contracts with all kinds of countries. In 2006, PAE was bought by Lockheed Martin for the huge sum of 1.2 billion bucks. While the company continues to operate today, Anna Shay no longer has ties to it.
Edward Shay built an empire for Anna and she has made sure to enjoy every moment on her throne. She does whatever she wants whenever she wants and lives comfortably with her son. Today, Anna is busy socializing with society's upper echelon, in Los Angeles, Paris, and beyond. Anna Shay continues to be one of the most enigmatic and interesting characters on Bling Empire and her appeal isn't just about cash.
