Shepherd's plan was to take out the entire government and start over. So, she managed to lure a group of people to a secure bunker with Weller being one of them. Her goal, we would find out, is to kill the government off and let this group take over. However, Weller is not with the plan.
After the win, Jane shows up at Weller's apartment to have some quiet time with Kurt. The team leaves and then we get a time jump of two years. This is when it gets a bit weird but good. Jane is seen climbing a mountain. The next scene shows that Kurt was searching for her and when he finds her, she now has new glowing tattoos. And oh yeah, they're married now.
Mums The Word (Season 3, Episode 17) Rating 8.4
The team is in shambles as they deal with personal and work-related issues. No one seems to be on the same page, especially Patterson and Zapata. However, despite their feelings for each other, the goal is to take down Crawford at his own Gala.
In order to do that, they have to work together and use Avery who just happens to know Blake. But there's a catch, Roman is in the picture and this will cause further issues. But Roman offers his help and Jane gets a feeling that something is up. Roman betrays the team, not because he wants Crawford to win but due to his growing love for Blake. He wants to be accepted.
Evil Handmade Instrument (Season 1, Episode 10) Rating 8.5
The team is searching for David's killer. Patterson is in pretty rough shape but she wants this more than anybody. While searching for clues, they stumble across a few more puzzles (David was clever). Of course, the case is solved. Patterson wanted her revenge.
We also get a flashback as to what's really going on with the mystery woman Jane Doe. She's kidnapped, where a man shows her a video of herself (pre-tattoos) explaining that if she sees this, then the plan is going smoothly. Jane is confused and even more so when she hears herself say that this memory ZIP plan was her idea. Wow!
In Night So Ransomed Rogue (Season 2, Episode 1) Rating 8.5
Jane is being tortured at a "black site". The team is just coasting through their normal duties and now they have a new ally in Nas. She's there to help assist but something just feels off about her. The catch here is that they think Jane is a snitch.
Nas wants her back on the team but the team is not really that open to the idea, especially Kurt who just had a romantic moment with her prior to all of this. Reluctantly, they agree but it must be done right. The best part about the episode is, we get to meet Roman. And now the fun begins.
City Folks Under Wraps (Season 3, Episode 8) Rating 8.5
Hirst is now scared. If she knows one thing, that is she can count on her team to get the job done. The issue is, her team is after her. While still trying to prove that she had Stewart killed, Hirst can feel the walls closing in. So she called for backup from a higher up in the criminal chain and was told to make sure nothing happens or he will be coming for her. Tough spot for Hirst to be in.
Hirst is taken down thanks to Rich but then Blindspot hits us with another plot twist. Weller gets a call from Roman who says he must go with a plan or he will tell Jane about what happened in Berlin. This Roman guy is the best character.
If Love A Rebel, Death Will Render (Season 1, Episode 22) Rating 8.6
Is Mayfair loyal to the cause or to a woman? With Mayfair indiscretions out in the open (sort of), she's still protecting Sophia. This is the Mayfair episode we've been waiting for. It doesn't matter if you think she's dirty or not, Mayfair is one awesome female.
After tracking down a lead, she heads to a bunker and finds Jane and Oscar arguing. She accuses Jane of betraying the team and before they can have it out, Oscar shoots Mayfair. Nooooo...But wait, there's one more plot twist. Kurt's father confesses to killing a young Taylor Shaw. If this is true, and Taylor is indeed dead, then who is Jane?
Why Await Life's End (Season 1, Episode 23) Rating 8.6
The Season 1 finale doesn't offer many solutions but does pose more questions. What's so awesome about Blindspot is that while they have weekly bad guys, it's really never about them. They're there for entertainment purposes only. The big storyline is always solving the puzzle.
In the finale, we learned who the head puzzle guy is--- someone named Shepard. Jane has memories of love scenes with her and Oscar. The team thinks they found where Mayfair was murdered and Weller discovers the truth about Taylor Shaw. In the end, Jane is arrested by her future husband.
Why Let Cooler Pasture Deform (Season 2, Episode 9) Rating 8.6
Talk about blowing viewer's minds. Jane is playing the long game here with her brother Roman and mother Shepherd. She has them believing that she's back to being Remi and wants nothing more than to take down the FBI. However, no one truly believes that. Jane is smart but Shepherd has been planning this since before they were in her life.
Shepherd tells her who the other mole is and it turns out to be the one person, not only Jane has confided in, but the entire building. Yup, Borden is the guy. What's compelling is that it was Jane herself who recruited him to Sandstorm. How will Patterson react to this bit of news?
In Memory (Season 3, Episode 22) Rating 8.6
This season, we wondered why Roman wanted Crawford's attention so much. It was never about money or power. It was all about revenge. Roman caught him and Jane was the one to finish him off. The perfect ending for that arc. Then we're hit with the first surprise. Blake shoots Roman.
The next three surprises are well-written. Blake, after killing Roman is ready to take over her father's empire with the help of Zapata (whoa). Back in NYC, Patterson realized that the ZIP is killing Jane then the big one hits. Something snaps in Jane and she's no longer her. Remi has returned.
Mom (Season 2, Episode 21) Rating 8.7
It's time for a showdown between family. Shepherd has devised a plan to attack the NYC FBI headquarters. And not just with a threat, but in person with Roman by her side. They pull it off and one great war takes place. In the process, lives are lost and Zapata is shot.
Jane is devastated to learn that she lost her brother again once his ZIP wore off (foreshadowing?). Now she knows there's only one way to stop Roman and her mother. Just as you think the carnage is over, Weller is called into a bunker where the real plan for Phase 2 is set to begin.
