Blake Shelton isn't playing nice this season, at least not in the new promo for The Voice season 22. The new season of the singing competition show saw the departure of long-time coach Kelly Clarkson as well as season 21 coach Ariana Grande. Luckily, the singers left the show in great hands as Blake's wife, Gwen Stefani, and singer Camilla Cabello joined the panel. John Legend, who has been on the show since season 15, will also be returning to the series. The "Havana" singer, who is just 25 years old, will definitely be able to connect with some of the younger contestants on the show.

Camilla appeared on The Voice during season 21 as an advisor for Team Legend. While the star doesn't have any other experience on the show, she does know a thing or two about reality singing competitions. In 2012, Camila appeared on the US version of The X Factor, where Simon Cowell put her into a group with some fellow contestants. Simon introduced Camila to Lauren Jauregui, Normani Hamilton, Ally Brooke, and Dinah Jane, and the five singers formed Fifth Harmony. The group came in third place on the show, and in 2016, Camila left the group for a solo career.

The singer is excited to be the newest coach on The Voice, but unfortunately, Blake is out to get her in the season 22 promo. The Voice promo, which parodies a thriller movie trailer, shows Camila being welcomed to the show with balloons, flowers, gifts, and cookies. Among her welcome presents is an anonymous note reading, "You are going 2 lose so bad!" spelled out with magazine clippings. "Who would send that?" Gwen Stefani asks after overhearing Camila reading the letter out loud. Blake soon appears playing dumb about the threatening note before John reveals he received one as well.

"It's no mystery, Camila Cabello joins The Voice," the narrator reads as the coaches dance to Camila's song "Bam Bam." Unfortunately, Blake's scheme is exposed when a crew member holding a cut-up magazine approaches him about crafting in his dressing room. Luckily, the promo was all in good fun, and the coaches actually seem thrilled to have Camila join the team. Fans have also been expressing how excited they are to see the singer on the show, pointing out that, like Kelly, she has gone from a contestant on a singing show to a coach.

While Blake loves to win, hopefully he isn't as competitive on set as he is in the promo. The coach has been on the show since season 1, and so far has eight wins under his belt. With just two more wins before marking 10, it's no wonder why he's so competitive. It's great that Camila was able to go along with the funny promo. Her great sense of humor will help her fit in perfectly with her fellow coaches on The Voice.
