Blake Lively is a talented film actress whose claim to fame first came from her popular role as Serena van der Woodsen on The CW's break-out teen drama, Gossip Girl. Since starring on the series for six seasons, Lively has progressed to the big screen and made a splash in multiple films.
These days she's considered an A-list actress alongside husband Ryan Reynolds. She is also known for her incredible fashion taste and happy-go-lucky personality. Serena van der Woodsen - ESFP
The ESFP is known as the Enthusiastic Improviser. Serena van der Woodsen is considered Blake Lively's breakout role. Serena was one of the main characters on Gossip Girl and was often considered the main "It" girl of the series.
She is extroverted, friendly, and full of light. Serena never had to work hard to get the attention on her because she naturally gravitated towards the spotlight. She was like a magnet to success thanks to her ability to be vivacious and optimistic. But she struggled when forced into a routine or pressured into doing things she didn't want to do.
Emily Nelson - ENFP
Emily Nelson is one of Lively's most challenging and interesting roles. If you had to compare Emily to another fictional character, an easy answer would be Amy Dunne from Gone Girl. Emily is the complicated heroine from A Simple Favor who is manipulative, duplicitous, conniving, and ultimately captivating.

Surprisingly, Bridget Vreeland from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is also an ESFP like Serena. Their characters are somewhat similar in personality, although their circumstances are entirely different.
Bridget is a little more reckless and impulsive than Serena, although she is also much younger than her and struggles with mental illness in ways Serena does not. That said, she is very energetic, bursting with energy, and she loves fiercely and deeply.
Monica Moreland - INFJ
Monica Moreland is a character from the 2006 movie, Accepted. Lively plays the love interest to Justin Long's role in this comedy film. Her character is an aspiring photographer at college, and she's not nearly as outgoing as many of Lively's other characters.
Monica is more of a creative visionary. She's soft-spoken, kind, and very genuine. Her creative and intuitive mind makes her an INFJ and an excellent photographer.
Adaline Bowman - ISTJ
Adaline Bowman is from the 2015 film The Age of Adaline. Adaline is given the gift, or curse depending on how you look at it, of immortality. She never ages and has to uproot her life frequently to keep anyone else from discovering her secret. Because of this, she has learned to be a realist.
She thinks about things very logically and often has to bottle up her emotions or keep them close to her chest. She is unable to trust many people and typically keeps to herself to protect her heart and her life. Yet she will also do what is necessary to take care of those she loves; she is an ISTJ or a "Responsible Realist."
Gina - ISFP
Blake Lively plays a blind woman named Gina in All I See Is You (2016). Initially, she is entirely under her husband's care due to her inability to see. Still, eventually, she gets her eyesight back and begins to realize some disturbing things around her home.
The reason Gina is an ISFP or a "Versatile Supporter" is due to her willingness to support her husband no matter what, until he gives her a reason to mistrust him. While she is somewhat subdued, she is also open to exploring things such as her sexuality and the world around her. When she regains her sight, Gina wants to explore the world. She doesn't like it when anyone tries to inhibit her freedom.
Nancy Adams - INTJ
Nancy Adams might be one of Blake Lively's most challenging roles yet. She plays Nancy in the survivalist film, The Shallows. Nancy had to survive in the middle of the ocean while a shark circled her.
The reason she is an INTJ, or "Conceptual Planner," is due to her decisiveness, her planning abilities, and her efficiency in keeping herself alive. Nancy is also very independent, seeing as she went on a surfing vacation alone to honor her mother. Without her mindfulness and work ethic, she easily could have died.
Ophelia - ISTJ
Blake Lively played Ophelia or "O" in the film Savages alongside Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson. Her character was in love with two men, and the three of them co-existed in a loving polyamorous relationship until she was eventually kidnapped.
Both of her lovers agree to do whatever it takes to save her life. She is very much an ISTJ that forms attachments to others while remaining loyal and committed to those she pledges herself to.
Kris Coughlin - ENTP
If you haven't seen The Town (2010), it's a great crime thriller starring a fantastic cast of actors like Blake Lively, Ben Affleck, Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, and more. Lively portrays the role of Kris Coughlin, Doug's (Affleck) ex-girlfriend.
She winds up getting caught up in a world of drugs and crime, although she isn't exactly an unwilling participant until she gets kicked to the curb when her boyfriend falls in love with another woman. She is very assertive and dependent, not the best at striking out on her own. She is also willing to do what it takes to survive, even if it means selling out the people she used to love.
Carol Ferris - ENFP
Blake Lively portrayed the popular DC character Carol Ferris in the Green Lantern movie alongside her now-husband, Ryan Reynolds. That film is how the two actors met. Carol is a very diligent and dedicated worker in the Green Lantern film.
Although it should be noted that her comic counterpart is pretty different from the movie interpretation, especially as audiences and critics panned the film. Still, she works as the Vice President of Ferris Aircraft and becomes a caring and supportive partner love interest to Hal Jordan, as indicative of her ENFP personality type.
