Warning! Spoilers for Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/X-Men #1 by Marvel Comics

After being teased years ago, Blade's daughter has finally been revealed, as Bloodline will make their Marvel Comics debut in the upcoming Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/X-Men #1 comic. In a new tease for the forthcoming free issue, Blade's daughter Brielle will appear in a story from Danny Lore and Karen S. Darboe. The announcement comes more than six years after the character was first teased.

Blade is Marvel's premier vampire hunter, as his bloody antics have taken the forefront of most of his stories. However, in 2015, Marvel Comics revealed that Tim Seeley and Logan Faerber would be teaming up for a new Blade The Hunter series as part of the "All-New, All-Different" relaunch, which would introduce the antihero's daughter, Fallon Grey. The character was teased as an anti-Peter-Parker, who is forced to join her family's business. Marvel even revealed designs for the character, but the comic never saw the light of day. Now, Marvel Comics is reviving the idea of Blade's daughter as a new character, Brielle, aka Bloodline, will soon make her debut.

While Marvel Comics is keeping details mostly under wraps, they revealed Blade's daughter Bloodline would debut and appear in the upcoming Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/X-Men #1 comic. Danny Lore (Multiversity: Teen Justice) and Karen S. Darboe (Magic: the Hidden Planeswalker), are tackling the story starring the new vampire hunter. Marvel Comics released a preview image for the series, which shows off Bloodline, daughter of Blade. Brielle's face is revealed, while another image shows her holding a note from her dad, as she reads it in front of a series of weapons.

Blade Marvel Comics

It's great to see Marvel Comics promoting Blade-related stories again, as the publisher has failed him in the comics in recent years. Hopefully, Bloodline's introduction will lead to more adventures with her father as the pair of vampire hunters are brought together for the first time. The timing is perfect with Mahershala Ali's Blade solo film in the works, as interest in the character is very high at the moment. A Blade-led series with Bloodline as a major part would be a lot of fun to see.

For readers who want to check out more about Bloodline, she will be fully revealed in Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/X-Men #1 by Marvel Comics. Blade's daughter's debut comic in the Danny Lore and Karen S. Darboe story inside the issue will arrive in comic book stores on May 7, 2022.
