New Black Widow and Venom crossover art imagines Natasha Romanoff being overtaken by the alien Symbiote that inhabits Eddie Brock's body. Natasha Romanoff will be returning to the MCU this Friday after her death in Avengers: Endgame thanks to her first solo feature film. Taking place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, the film will follow Natasha as she reunites with people from her past to take down Taskmaster and the Red Room. Black Widow will likely be Scarlett Johansson's swan song in the MCU as she looks to pass the mantle of her long-running character to Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova.

Eddie Brock will be making his own theatrical return later this year when Venom: Let There Be Carnage premieres. The film will follow through on Venom's mid-credits stinger where Eddie goes to interview notorious serial killer Cletus Kasady, played by Woody Harrelson. As comic book readers know, Kasady also becomes the host of a symbiote named Carnage. The highly-anticipated sequel to the 2018 film will see Venom and Carnage go head-to-head, but crossover art imagines a new kind of host for the Symbiote formerly in Eddie Brock's body.

From digital artist Venomhology, the art reimagines one of Black Widow's posters with the Venom symbiote slowly encroaching on the Marvel hero played by Johansson. Natasha's eyes have been turned black and the symbiote's tendrils can be seen slowly moving over the poster behind her. Half of Natasha's head is also covered in the black symbiote skin and Venom's teeth are gradually beginning to form over her mouth. Check out the full art below:

Venom has not officially made his way over to the MCU due to the complicated rights issues separating the Spider-Man characters owned by Sony from the Disney-owned Marvel Studios. Still, rumors swirl about the possible connections between Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters and the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to various indicators like Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming existing in the Morbius film starring Jared Leto.

Seeing Natasha Romanoff taken over by a symbiote is an enticing if impossible scenario in the MCU, unfortunately. Besides the fact that Natasha is dead and Johansson likely won't be appearing in a major capacity in any future Marvel projects, it seems like something that just wouldn't be in the cards for the character. Luckily, this Black Widow and Venom art certainly gives audiences an idea of what this insane crossover would look like.
