Scarlett Johansson is in a new Black Widow costume in the latest set photos. After years of waiting, a Black Widow solo movie is on its way, even after her death in Avengers: Endgame. While the film has been in the works for quite some time, Marvel Studios only recently confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that Black Widow was happening. In doing so, they announced its release date in May 2020, kicking off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Once Black Widow was officially announced, Marvel Studios finally confirmed additional details about the movie. It takes place in the two-year gap between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. This setting puts Natasha Romanoff on the run and not yet part of Captain America's small Secret Avengers squad. She'll reunite with fellow spy Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) and face off against the Marvel villain Taskmaster instead.

Filming on Black Widow is still taking place, and new set photos show Johansson wearing a newly designed costume for the movie. The images, shared on Twitter by @BlackWidowBR, reveal a few distant looks at the suit, which is now mostly grey with black accents. Johansson is wearing the suit amidst wreckage from a possible plane crash. Check them out below:

This may not be an official look at Black Widow's new costume, but they do at least give us an idea of the design. A new suit was previously teased in some artwork that surfaced out of SDCC showing Widow and Taskmaster fight. However, the suit that Johansson is wearing is noticeably different. The art by Andy Park kept Natasha in her usual black outfit and added some grey accent lines. These set photos though put Natasha in an almost all-grey suit that has a black "Y" design across the back. With the two different outfits, it is unclear if that means Black Widow will see Johansson in multiple costumes or if the one in the concept art was not the final design.

Since Johansson and the Black Widow movie are busy filming internationally, it is unlikely they'll make a surprise appearance at D23 this weekend. But, with Disney using the expo as an opportunity to start promoting some of their upcoming releases, there could be an outside shot of an official image from Black Widow being released too. If not, then we may not get one until production wraps potentially or when Marvel starts the actual marketing campaign for Black Widow near the end of the year.
