As one of the most powerful heroes in the MCU, it's difficult to defeat Scarlet Witch in a battle, but Black Widow correctly predicted one significant flaw in her fighting skills. Since Wanda Maximoff officially joined the Avengers at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Natasha Romanoff had become her unofficial mentor. Odd, considering that their power skills and levels could not be any more different, but Black Widow proved that her contemporary can still learn a thing or two from her despite Wanda being significantly stronger.

Despite her skills and prominence in the comic books, Scarlet Witch has been mostly sidelined in the MCU, as the focus has been on the franchise's founding heroes. But, as the Infinity Saga wrapped up and some of those characters retired from their duty, Wanda appears to be stepping up at the forefront of the roster to be one of the new faces of the universe. WandaVision - her first co-headlining project with Vision - set her on a path that will officially make her the powerhouse that she's always meant to be. However, amidst her continued exploration of her ability as the Scarlet Witch, she still needs to work on some aspects of her fighting repertoire.

Time and again, Wanda has proven herself to be a valuable asset on any team. Scarlet Witch can produce energy blasts, move things with her mind, and cast spells among others. As impressive as this list is, she has one fatal fighting flaw — she has poor reflexes, something that Black Widow correctly pointed out during the opening action sequence of Captain America: Civil War. In the 2016 Joe and Anthony Russo film, the New Avengers lineup follows Crossbones' surviving HYDRA cell in Lagos. As part of her training Scarlet Witch was tasked to observe the location in an effort to predict how the attack would play out. While she did point out helpful details, Natasha, who was shadowing her, added a detail that she missed from behind her back, prompting the veteran Avenger to offer Wanda some advice: "looking over your shoulder needs to become second nature.”

Unfortunately for Wanda, it doesn't seem like she has fully learned that lesson yet. In Avengers: Infinity War, Black Order’s Proxima Midnight knocked her down as she was busy communicating with the other heroes about Vision's location. In Avengers: Endgame, she's hit by a missile fired from Thanos' ships. This problem was once again a recurring issue in her fight with Agatha Harkness in WandaVision. Scarlet Witch was always attacked from either behind or on her side; essentially anywhere that is not from her direct line of sight, despite her formidable powers.

Black Widow may not have superpowers like Wanda does, but she actually excelled in this fighting aspect. Natasha was highly perceptive, an ability she had honed during her years as a Russian spy and SHIELD operative. Luckily, since this is a learned skill, Scarlet Witch can eventually develop it. But considering how separate she's been from the rest of the remaining heroes, coupled with the fact that there's really no clear Avengers program right now, there's no one to guide her with regard to this issue at this point.
