The digital and Blu-Ray details for Marvel's Black Widow have officially been revealed. After years of calling for the creation of a movie centered on Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff, Black Widow has finally arrived and kicked off the latest phase of MCU movies. The film debuted in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access earlier this month and scored the biggest opening since the coronavirus pandemic began. Disney shocked the industry by revealing that Black Widow had earned $60 million through Disney+ in its first weekend, while also raking in $80 million domestically from theaters.

Black Widow is set within the end of Captain America: Civil War and picks up with Natasha after she goes on the run following the fight over the Sokovia Accords. When she receives a strange package from her spy sister Yelena (Florence Pugh), Natasha is pulled back to the world she was raised in and vows to take down the Red Room once and for all. Black Widow also stars David Harbour and Rachel Weisz as Natasha and Yelena's parents, Alexei, aka Red Guardian, and Melina.

With rather remarkable speed, Black Widow will be available on various digital platforms on August 10, and 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray and DVD on September 14. The bonus features (which vary by product and retailer) include bloopers, three featurettes, and nine deleted scenes. The full breakdown for Black Widow's special features are as follows:

Several of the Black Widow deleted scenes sound like extended moments from the film, so it'll be interesting to see how they differ from what ended up in the final product. There's also a chance to see more of Secretary Ross (William Hurt) and Mason (O-T Fagbenle), as there is a new scene with the both of them. As for the featurettes, they sound like they will be fascinating looks into how Black Widow came together, particularly when it comes to the action and characters. Fans of the movie should have a good time going through these special features.

Black Widow will likely still be available in theaters by the time it heads home, and it will still require a fee on Disney+. That the movie is getting a home release so soon after it debuted just seems to show how much the theatrical window is shortening in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic. Black Widow's Disney+ release was already a strange circumstance, and the MCU's next movie, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, won't be receiving one. On the bright side, Marvel fans won't have to wait long before adding Black Widow to their home collections. Better make some space now.
