In a stunning new cosplay recreating an iconic Mark Brooks cover, cosplayer @katrinavvera does her take on Black Widow becoming Captain America. The original cover was part of a line of variants that saw artists do their own "What If....?" takes on different heroes becoming their version of Captain America. Brooks' cover featured the Black Widow getting her own suit and shield - which is now being recreated in real life in the awesome cosplay.

To celebrate Captain America's 80th anniversary in 2021, Marvel Comics released a series of variant covers featuring other popular heroes taking the mantle. Marvel went all out with the "What If...?" covers, including ones featuring Miles Morales in the role in a cover from Iban Coello and Alejandro Sanchez, Moon Knight getting his own Captain America suit in a variant by Pepe Larraz & Marte Gracia, the Fantastic Four suiting up in a cover from Nick Bradshaw and Rachelle Rosenberg, and Black Cat getting her own Cap twist in a cover from Leinil Francis Yu & Sunny Gho. But, perhaps, the coolest Cap-remix came from artist Mark Brooks, who imagined Black Widow as the hero.

On her Twitter account, @katrinavvera shared her take on Mark Brooks' cover art for Black Widow #9. The talented cosplayer recreated the Black Widow/Captain America combination hero to perfection - bringing the hero to life with the black, white, and red costume. The comic-accurate cosplay includes Black Widow Cap's mask with her red logo, a suit with a red star on the chest, red and white stripes on the waist, and her own Black, White and Red shield. The look also features Black Widow's gauntlets, which can be seen on the variant cover. Check out @katrinavvera's (photo from @EddieBPhotos) cosplay side-by-side with the original Mark Brooks cover.
