The AvengersBlack Panther and the X-Men's Storm might have one of the most complex relationships in Marvel Comics. Even though T'Challa and Ororo Munroe are no longer married, their potential descendants could change the course of the future and become some of the most important legacy heroes in Marvel's history. Back in Jeff Parker and Salva Espin's Exiles #6 from 2009, Black Panther and Storm have two children in a possible future named T'Chaka and Sh'ri.

T'Chaka inherits his name from his grandfather, T'Challa's father. During an encounter with Ulysses Klaw, the young Panther gets recruited by the Exiles—a team of heroes from different timelines set to save the multiverse. Unlike his collected and wise father, T'Chaka constantly cracks jokes and has expressive eyes on his costume, which gives him a similar personality to Spider-Man. Like Peter Parker, he understands the responsibilities of his heroic mission and helps the other multidimensional misfits stop various threats, from Kang the Conquerer variants to Sentinels. At the end of his mission, he reveals that he also has a sister named Sh'ri.

It is Sh'ri who has the potential to be the best Black Panther. When T'Chaka considers rejoining his timeline at the end of Exiles #6, he holds back, saying: "Actually... I could. But odds are that if I don't, my little sister is on course to become the greatest Panther of all. Way to go, Sh'ri." Little is known of Sh'ri aside from a brief time apparition. Based on her appearance, it seems like she inherits both Black Panther and Storm's abilities. If Sh'ri becomes the best Black Panther in history, it could mean that T'Challa and Ororo aren't done with their relationship just yet. With all the successful weddings in superhero comic books, Black Panther and Storm should reunite and bring Sh'ri back into Marvel Comics' main continuity.

When T'Challa and Ororo marry in Reginald Hudlin, Scot Eaton, and Kaare Andrews' Black Panther #18, people from all over the universe agree to peace. After the panther goddess, Bast, accepts Ororo into T'Challa's family, historical figures such as President Bush, Fidel Castro, and Nelson Mandela present themselves at their wedding. Amid Marvel's original Civil War event, Captain America and Iron Man agree to a temporary peace and congratulate the couple. Even Uatu the Watcher witnesses the union. Charles Xavier tells Ororo that as the Queen of Wakanda, she's now "the most important mutant in the world" and tells her it's a role she was "born to play."

Unfortunately, their marriage doesn't last. T'Challa and Ororo annul their marriage in Jason Aaron and Adam Kubert's Avengers vs. X-Men #9. Sh'ri would have been a living reminder of a temporary peace on Earth-616. Perhaps this is why T'Chaka deems his sister as so noteworthy. If Sh'ri becomes the Queen of Wakanda and carries mutant powers, T'Challa and Storm's daughter isn't just going to be the best Black Panther; she can bring peace throughout the world of Marvel Comics. If Storm and T'Challa get together again permanently, there's absolutely no doubt that they would teach their children well.
