Black Panther DLC Now Available for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2

A new Black Panther level for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 lets players take control of the King of Wakanda as he battles Eric Killmonger, the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie's villain. The DLC pack includes other characters from the MCU Black Panther film too, and serves as the first of many MCU-related DLC packs to come in 2018.

Released in November, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 gives players access to a diverse roster of 200 heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe. Though the X-Men and Fantastic Four are nowhere to be found, the game is rich with characters associated with the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and the Inhumans. The game combines many aspects of both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the comic book world. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 also features an original story set in the open world city of Chronopolis, a place that combines 18 key locations from Marvel Comics.

Warner Bros. has released a trailer that previews a new Black Panther level and character pack for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 (see the video embedded above). The level lets players take control of Black Panther in a movie-inspired costume as he and his sister Shuri embark on an adventure in the "darkest depths" of Wakanda. The two will battle mutated creatures and the army of Eric Killmonger. The DLC also adds Okoye, Nakia, Ulysses Klaue, and Everett K. Ross as playable characters. Comic book versions of Black Panther, Klaw, Shuri, and Killmonger were already present in the base game, as a result of its fourth level ("What's Klaw's is Mined") being set in Wakanda.

In LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, players get to travel through multiple time periods and alternate realities in an attempt to thwart the evil plans of the longtime Avengers nemesis, Kang the Conqueror. Along the way, players will get to team up with obscure heroes like Stingray, the Two Gun Kid, Red Guardian, and fan-favorites such as Daredevil, Adam Warlock, and Squirrel Girl.

Though the game's main story is mostly based in the comics, the game includes a great deal of content inspired by the MCU. Thor: Ragnarok content was available at launch and a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 DLC pack was released in December. DLC for Avengers: Infinity War, Cloak & Dagger (which is set to debut on Freeform in June), Hulu's The Runaways, and Ant-Man and the Wasp have also been announced.
