Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman shows off his moves in a new fight training video, teasing the action in next year's epic film. Marvel still has three films to go before Black Panther lands in theaters next February, but promotion for the upcoming movie is just getting started. Black Panther wrapped production two weeks back, meaning the rest of the year will be filled with effects work and likely some reshoots. However, the team behind the film will also be gearing up for the reveal of official images and a trailer.
We've been told to expect the first look at Black Panther this summer, possibly around the time of Comic-Con in San Diego in late July. We have an idea of how some of that footage may look already, though. Despite work being incomplete on the film, Marvel have been so pleased with the movie that they screened Black Panther footage for journalists, ahead of time. That's a strong sign of faith from the studio, and hints at a movie unlike anything Marvel has made to date. And though we've already met T'Challa thanks to last years' Captain America: Civil War, anticipation is high for a glimpse of the character's solo outing.
While we await more official teases for Black Panther, star Chadwick Boseman has taken to Instagram to share one of his fight-training videos. Check it out below:
Likely, the video is from before filming wrapped for Black Panther - either that, or Boseman is just keeping his skills sharp. Another possibility is that Boseman is preparing for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. The film has been shooting for some time now, and each passing week we learn that more and more Avengers have begun working on the film.
With Black Panther being Marvel's last film before Infinity War, we'll probably see some sort of bridge to the latter in the former. And like the stars of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok, the key cast of Black Panther will be jumping from one Marvel production to another and will need to stay in top form.
So far, there's no word yet on who from Black Panther's all-star cast will be making it to the third Avengers film, but characters like T'Challa, the Dora Milaje, and Shuri are all strong possibilities. For many, Black Panther will be one of the most important superhero movies ever, so audiences will be keen to see the characters begin appearing more in the larger MCU. Luckily, the debut of Black Panther is right around the corner.
