The Avengers may be the most powerful superheroes on planet Earth (aside from the X-Men), but in a world of daily threats, even they need backup. It's because of that need that Black Panther and the Agents of Wakanda exist. And just a few issues down, their next threat looks to be one of the strangest readers would ever have expected.
Considering how this new series began in September, that really is saying something. The series' first mission saw Black Panther and his team encounter the strongest Avenger to ever go bad, and thankfully found a way to solve the crisis with minimal casualties. But as a perfect sign of just what readers can expect from these unorthodox fighters, the next mission is taking them to the Moon. The new chapter is continuing from the Avengers: No Surrender event which saw Earth and its heroes used in a game between Elders of the Universe. While it all ended up back to the way things were -- thanks mainly to a D-List Avenger -- it would seem that Ord Zyonz, the Gardener, left a little green surprise behind on Earth's moon. Who knows what it could be, but if the Moon has been transformed into a thriving ecosystem, will the Agents of Wakanda be charged with protecting it, or returning it to the barren rock it once was?
