Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star Letitia Wright reveals that her dream MCU team-up is with Tom Holland's Spider-Man. Released to generally positive reviews from audiences and critics, Ryan Coogler's sequel sees Shuri (Wright) officially take up the mantle of Black Panther. The film tells the story of how Shuri, Ramonda (Angela Bassett), and the nation of Wakanda work through their grief after T'Challa's (Chadwick Boseman) death while dealing with the arrival of a new threat in the form of Namor (Tenoch Huerta).

With Shuri now officially the new Black Panther in the MCU, Wright, in an interview with NME, addresses which Marvel superhero she's most interested in teaming up with in the future. While not going into details regarding the circumstances of her desired team-up, the actor clearly hopes that she gets to share the screen with Holland's Spider-Man, who last appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Check out Wright's comment below:

“Oh man, it’s not set in stone or anything like that but I definitely want to work with Tom Holland. I think he’s just dope. It would be really cool to see a mash-up between him and Shuri.”

When Could Shuri & Tom Holland's Spider-Man Team Up?

Holland's future in the MCU remains something of a question mark, but the ending to last year's Spider-Man: No Way Home certainly leaves the door open for further adventures. After saving the city and his friends, Doctor Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) spell makes everyone Peter Parker knows and loves forget who he is, essentially ending with Holland's character embracing his new, solitary life as the web-slinging hero. Although Holland has not officially signed on for more MCU movies, several projects coming up in Phase 6 could provide the perfect opportunity for his return as Spider-Man.

All MCU movies and shows in Phases 4, 5, and 6 are building up toward Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, the movies that will mark the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga. Shuri's future in the MCU is, similarly, not confirmed, but as the new Black Panther it's very likely she will be a part of the new Avengers team. With Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror, a threat equal to or greater than Thanos, set to serve as the central villain in one or both of the upcoming Avengers movies, a powerful team of heroes will need to be assembled to stop him. Boseman's Black Panther and Holland's Spider-Man never really had the opportunity to team up during Phase 3 of the MCU, but Phase 6 could change that with Shuri now serving as the Wakandan hero.

While Shuri is almost guaranteed to play an important role in the MCU moving forward after her powerful turn in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it remains to be seen if Holland will return. The actor has previously gone back and forth regarding whether he is interested in returning for Spider-Man 4 or other MCU movies, expressing that maybe somebody else should take up the mantle. A team-up between Shuri's Black Panther and Spider-Man is definitely a possibility, but it's unclear right now who will be playing the web-slinging hero.
