A new poster for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever provides another look at Namor's underwater kingdom of Talocan and teases its duality with Wakanda. After the massive success of Black Panther in 2018, director and co-writer Ryan Coogler returns to helm Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The upcoming MCU film is expected to tell the story of the nation of Wakanda as it grapples with other world powers and mourns the loss of Chadwick Boseman’s King T’Challa, with the actor having tragically passed away in 2020.

The first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has already teased a very emotional journey, as Shuri (Letitia Wright), Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and M'Baku (Winston Duke) adapt to life without T'Challa. In addition to some intense emotion, trailers have also shown off some of the movie's action and introduced an antagonist in the form of Namor, who is played by Tenoch Huerta. The most recent trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever revealed some additional Namor action scenes and shows that the character will feature his comics-accurate ankle wings in the film.

Shared by the official Marvel Entertainment Twitter account, a new poster for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever teases the tensions between Wakanda and Namor's underwater kingdom of Talocan. The poster features Shuri, Ramonda, Okoye, Nakia, and M'Baku as Wakanda looms behind them, with Namor, his followers, and Talocan acting as a mirror image of sorts below them. Talocan's architecture can also be seen more clearly in the poster, with the temples clearly having been inspired by Aztec designs. Check out the new poster below:

Who Is Namor In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?

Although Namor has already been featured in a number of promotional materials for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Huerta's character still remains somewhat mysterious. Huerta previously confirmed that, like his comic book counterpart, Namor is a mutant in the upcoming MCU film, which follows the introduction of several other mutants into the MCU, including Patrick Stewart's Professor X and Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan/ Ms. Marvel. In a significant change from the comics, however, Namor rules over Talocan in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, a kingdom created specifically for the film to replace Atlantis.

Although trailers have painted Namor as very much a force of antagonism in the upcoming Black Panther sequel, Huerta has affirmed that his character is very much an "anti-hero" in the film, not a straight-up villain. The most recent poster hints that, like Shuri, Namor could just be attempting to do what's best for his kingdom, which puts him at odds with Wakanda. Despite staying faithful to the comic book source material in many ways, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's version of Namor also features a number of exciting departures, which means the character likely still has some surprises in store for audiences.
