A recent Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War update brought functionality for DualSense's adaptive triggers to PC. Of course, the PlayStation 5 version of Black Ops Cold War supports DualSense features quite heavily, making use of the controller's impressive adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.

Ahead of launch, Lead Game Designer Tony Flame noted that DualSense's adaptive triggers allowed each gun in Black Ops Cold War to feel completely different from the rest. This most notably comes across when pulling the trigger due to varying levels of resistance, which are made possible by the controller's built-in trigger motors. Haptic feedback plays a part in the feeling of trigger pulls as well, as the controller shakes whenever the player fires their weapon. While some users find the functionality neat, others prefer to turn these features off, especially when it comes to BOCW's online play. Thanks to a recent update, even more players can see what all the fuss is about.

While playing Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on PC, YouTuber Paulo discovered this particular version of the military shooter now takes advantage of the adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller. Paulo shared a quick video showcasing the adaptive triggers' function in action, though it's unclear if haptic feedback support was added as well. Exactly when the DualSense features were enabled on PC serves as yet another mystery, but MP1st posits such an update may have gone live with the advent of Black Ops Cold War's Season 4 Reloaded patch.

The latest Call of Duty entry counts as the third major title to add DualSense support for PC users in recent months. Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition received the PS5 controller's haptic feedback and adaptive trigger features late in May, for instance. And earlier this month, an Assassin's Creed Valhalla update allowed PC players to take advantage of the game's adaptive triggers use.

While the slow but seemingly steady support for DualSense on PC continues to impress, there does exist one key drawback. At present, PC users can only enjoy the DualSense if it's wired. If and when wireless options will become available remains to be seen.
