This article contains spoilers for Black Clover chapter 337.

Yami fans have finally gotten what they've been waiting for ever since that massive name-drop occurred way back in Black Clover's Eye of the Midnight Sun arc, but there are still many questions that left remain unanswered.

During Asta's battle against the Eye of the Midnight Sun's leader Licht, Yami came to not only aide the young mage but to unload quite a bit of information on him. In addition to informing Asta about ki, Yami shared why he was aware of this new concept for Black Clover, and the reason was that he came from a faraway land known as Hino Country. Apart from making Yami a much more three-dimensional character who was also once the subject of discrimination like Asta, Yami's story presented another place outside the Four Kingdoms that Black Clover could possibly explore one day.

For hundreds of chapters, mangaka Yūki Tabata ignored the possibility of his characters ever venturing to the shores of Hino Country. But Black Clover chapter 337 finally made that prospect a reality. The place where Asta was somehow teleported to in the previous chapter has been officially confirmed as being Hino from a man named Ryuya Ryudo who has ostensibly known Yami since they were kids.

Ryuya tells Asta that he has finally arrived in Hino Country in Black Clover chapter 337

But there are still so many questions that the chapter has yet to answer. All readers have learned is that Yami will apparently turn as white as a sheet if you throw a moth at him. The most pressing question is how Asta arrived in Hino. Only the foolish truly believed that Sister Lily secretly transported Asta there in defiance of the villain Lucius Zogratis. It would be much more intriguing if Lucius truly manipulated her soul and in turn transformed her into his Paladin. That said, even if she had overcome his soul manipulation magic, there is no reason why she would send him to Hino Country of all places. The only way she would only know about Hino is from Yami, and there's no evidence supporting that they have actually spoken on the subject. It is possible, however, that Ryuya had something to do with Asta's teleportation, considering his incredible power that he's only alluded to in the current chapter. Apparently, the "eye" behind his eye patch can sense another person's power. It can also see "stuff" such as everything that has recently happened to Asta since Ryuya was able to summarize recent events concerning Asta perfectly.

What's clear, however, is that Asta will be undergoing some type of training, which will undoubtedly be rooted in Japanese mythology since Hino clearly represents Japan and since Yami knows about ki because of his time there. Could Asta learn to fire ki blasts like in Dragon Ball? Possible. But it's not like him learning the most coveted DBZ technique - Fusion Dance - would do anything since he and his devil partner Liebe have already mastered Devil Union. Regardless, it's still exciting that fans' waiting has finally paid off with Tabata showing the very place that Yami briefly mentioned so long ago in Black Clover.
