Sarah Shahi performed all her stunts for Black Adam by herself. DCEU's blockbuster-in-the-making, Black Adam sees former WWE superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson suit up as the eponymous ancient-Egyptian anti-hero. Johnson has been attached to play the role for over a decade, with the initial plans being for him to appear as a villain in David F. Sandberg's Shazam! movie, as well as, in an earlier version of Suicide Squad. But considering the actor's stellar stature, Warner Bros and DC Films spun the character off into a solo film, set 5000 years after the wrongful imprisonment of the titular Kahndaq warrior. Black Adam has taken its time to get off the ground, but now the movie is fully on track to hit theaters on July 29, 2022.

While the movie is hotly anticipated by fans who are looking forward to seeing Johnson's turn as a comic-book superhero, there is also quite some excitement about the cinematic debut of the rest of the characters from Black Adam's comic lore. The Justice Society of America, for instance, will be making an appearance, with stars Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan playing its members Atom Smasher, Hawkman, Cyclone, and Doctor Fate. Besides them, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui, Marwan Kenzari, and Uli Latukefu are also primed to show up in undisclosed roles. Sex/Life actress, Sarah Shahi, is playing Adrianna Tomaz, Adam's potential love interest.

Although the details about Shahi's character aren't fully clear, the actress recently spoke about her work on Black Adam in an interview with Palm Springs Life. During the discussion, Shahi revealed that she had performed all the stunts for her character in the movie by herself. There were certain sequences that intimidated her, one to the point that caused her to cry in her trailer, yet she managed to get back on her feet and complete the shot successfully. Now, she is proudly looking forward to witnessing her performance in the movie. Read what Shahi said below:

“I thought I was going to die when I had to do this one stunt up there. I was actually in my trailer crying, but I did it — and I nailed it. Now, I’m going to be so proud when the movie comes out, and I can sit there and say, ‘I did all of my own stunts. I did everything myself.’”

There is little doubt about the amount of effort that Shahi has put into Black Adam. Right from her casting, the actress has been preparing hard for her role as Adrianna; she had done consistent comics research and practiced well for her scenes in the film. Her input was probably also recognized by Johnson, as Shahi had a wonderful time shooting with him. In a recent interview, the actress called Johnson awesome, describing him as "super funny," "very professional," and "incredible in his role." Lately, the actress also teased her costume for Black Adam, suggesting that she would be sporting "utility boots, cargo pants, tank tops, and motorcycle jackets" to embody her role as a rough Middle-Eastern freedom fighter.

Shahi's dedication to her role has surely set her character up for success and popularity among fans. At the moment, it's not confirmed if Shahi's Adrianna will manifest her goddess alter-ego, Isis, in Black Adam, but considering that the actress is involved in some stunts and action sequences, it's highly probable that the transformation will happen. If that is true, then audiences can expect the film to pull from Adrianna's arc in 52, which sees the character acquire powers from the Amulet of Isis after facing off against the villainous group, Intergang, which has been confirmed for the movie. This, however, at the moment, is just speculation, and fans will have to wait to catch Black Adam in theaters to see if it'll go in that direction.
