Black Adam has cast a The Baby Sitter's Club star in a key role. The upcoming film will star Dwayne Johnson as the title character and introduce the Justice Society of America to the DCEU. The cast includes Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centieno as Atom-Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate.

Black Adam has been building hype in the past few weeks as production nears. The film took over Times Square to announce its release date of July 2022. In an Instagram photo showcasing his workout, Dwayne Johnson confirmed the film is set to start filming in April. James Gusati-Moyer recently joined the film in a mysterious role and now another role has been cast.

THR reports that Bodhi Sabongui has joined the cast of Black Adam in a mysterious but key role to the Black Adam-DC canon. Sabongui's past credits include roles in various television series like The Baby Sitter's Club and A Million Little Things. He is no stranger to the DC Universe, as he also guest-starred on the television show, Legends of Tomorrow.

Sabongui's role is being kept under wraps but the tease of it being a key role and importance to the Black Adam mythos could indicate the character is the DCEU version of Amon Tomaz, a.k.a., Osiris. Introduced to the comics in 2006, Osiris is the brother of Adrianna Tomaz, a.k.a., Isis, who is the love interest and eventually wife of Black Adam. This makes Osiris Black Adam's brother-in-law and a member of the Black Adam Family. The character is a major supporting character for Black Adam but also the Teen Titans. In the New 52 reboot, Amon is a member of the group The Sons of Adam, who wishes to free the land of Kahndaq from the Ibac dictatorship. He is mortally wounded in a spell to resurrect Black Adam, requiring his sister to finish the spell.

Actress Sarah Shahi has been cast in a mysterious role in the film, hinting at a possible love interest for Black Adam. Many fans speculate she could be playing Adrianna Tomaz in the film. This would then open the door for Bodhi Sabongui to take on the role of her younger brother and begin the introduction of the Black Adam Family to the DCEU. Osiris's status as a Teen Titan means the character could be spun off into other potential DCEU projects. With many of the upcoming films based around Static Shock, Supergirl, and Blue Bettle focusing on a younger set of heroes, there is potential for this role to grow over subsequent films beyond the appearance in Black Adam.
