Black Adam star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is reacting to seeing the new detailed Hawkman and Doctor Fate action figures for the first time. The upcoming film, based on the popular DC Comics character of the same name, was developed as a spin-off of 2019's Shazam! and is set to be released in theaters on October 21, 2022. It will explore its titular anti-hero, armed with powers from the Egyptian gods, and his efforts to unleash his own form of justice on the world after being entombed for nearly 5,000 years. Black Adam released its first trailer less than a month ago to largely positive reactions from fans, leading Johnson to further discuss his plans for the character and his future.

In addition to Dwayne Johnson's Teth-Adam/Black Adam, the film will also feature Aldis Hodge and Pierce Brosnan as Hawkman and Doctor Fate respectively, members of the superhero team known as the Justice Society of America. Those familiar with the comics will recall that Hawkman is the leader of the JSA, and a reincarnation of the Egyptian prince, Khufu, who has the ability to fly due to the Nth metal in his wings and costume. Doctor Fate, similar to Marvel's Doctor Strange, is a powerful sorcerer who utilizes the Helmet of Fate, given to him by the ancient Nabu. With their introduction in the trailer, along with appearances in Black Adam's latest promo art, fan anticipation for both characters is increasing.

This is not the first time Dwayne Johnson has publicly reacted to seeing an action figure from the upcoming Black Adam movie. Back in June, while the actor was interacting with press at Warner Bros. Studios following the official release of the film's trailer, he was handed boxes of his own Black Adam action figure for the first time. In the moment, Johnson remarked about how cool it was to see the toy before quickly joking about it being "anatomically correct."

It certainly seems like Dwayne Johnson is leading the charge when it comes to promoting Black Adam and that his passion for the project is genuine. In addition to his latest tweets, he has been praising the work of Hodge and Brosnan, as well as his other co-stars, for some time now. Fans of the Justice Society of America can be sure to check out the new action figures and look forward to seeing the characters brought to life in Black Adam when it hits theaters this fall.
