Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia confirms that Dwayne Johnson's DCEU character is aware of other DC heroes in his solo movie. During the early days of the DCEU, one of the first major castings for Warner Bros.' interconnected DC cinematic universe was Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam. While Black Adam is traditionally depicted as Shazam's greatest enemy, the DCEU will be taking a different approach to the DC icon. After years of being stuck in development hell, Black Adam is finally getting its theatrical release this year, featuring the character as an anti-hero rather than a traditional super-villain.

Making his live-action debut, Black Adam follows the story of Teth-Adam during his time as a slave of Khandaq before being granted the godlike powers he has in the comics. The film will give the DCEU one of its few anti-heroes since the franchise was launched in 2013 through Man of Steel. As much as it's a Black Adam origin story, the film will also serve as a vehicle for the Justice Society of America, including characters like Doctor Fate and Hawkman.

While Black Adam will be set within the DCEU, it remains to be seen how much Johnson's titular character knows about other heroes in the franchise. During an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia discusses the larger connectivity the film has to the DCEU. While not disclosing specifics, Garcia assures that Black Adam will know about the existence of other DC heroes and that audience members will "feel the effects" in their world, sharing the following:

"Exactly. And for us, you'll feel the effects in our world. We know that those guys exist. There's even conversations where he's told that there's other heroes out there, but he's very specific to the kind of hero he is. We like the idea of knowing that he has now been put into this world, and he's kind of a disruption, because they're not used to having a person that powerful be that much of a livewire. They can't figure out how to control him."

The idea of having a scene or two where Black Adam gets informed about other DC heroes will certainly be an interesting one. Given that Black Adam will be at odds with members of the JSA, it shouldn't come as a shock that he'll more than likely clash with other superheroes in the DCEU. Ever since Johnson got tapped as the DC anti-hero, he has stressed the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is going to change with the arrival of his character. Exactly how and what that will look like remains to be seen.

Given how insanely powerful Black Adam is, he is a legit threat to the entire Justice League, including Superman. While Garcia confirms there will be moments where Black Adam will discover the existence of the other heroes, there could be more to that. It wouldn't be unheard of if there are actually surprise cameos in Black Adam, similar to when Peacemaker had Jason Momoa's Aquaman and Ezra Miller's The Flash pop up. Out of anyone in the Justice League, it would be a massive deal if Henry Cavill's Superman somehow did appear, even for just a minute or two. With less than 6 months to go, it will be made clear sooner rather than later what Black Adam's involvement with other DC heroes will look like.
