When will the Birds of Prey trailer release? Margot Robbie is reprising her role as Harley Quinn for the eighth film in the DCEU. The film, whose official title is Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), is set to premiere in February 2020.

The former psychiatrist-turned-Suicide Squad member is going back on the big screen for a solo movie. Harley Quinn has officially left the Joker and Gotham City is suffering from the disappearance of Batman. When a young girl named Cassandra Cain finds a diamond belonging to a local crime lord, Black Mask, her life becomes threatened. Harley decides to team up with Black Canary, Huntress, and Renee Montoya in order to protect her. Filming ended in April and release is inching closer, so when can fans expect the Birds of Prey trailer to arrive?

Birds of Prey hits theaters on February 7, 2020. There was thought that the first-look footage would be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con with the trailer scheduled to release shortly thereafter. But that no longer looks to be the case as WB is planning to sit out Hall H this year. Taking into consideration WB's current marketing strategy, the Birds of Prey trailer will presumably be released between August and October 2019. We expect the Bird of Prey trailer to be released in time to run ahead of IT Chapter Two or Joker.

The marketing for Birds of Prey will precede the push for Wonder Woman 1984. The Wonder Woman sequel is arriving in theaters next June with the trailer is expected to drop in December. Even though both films center on a popular DC female character, Harley Quinn couldn't be more different than Diana Prince. Birds of Prey is expected to be the first R-rated film in the DCEU. Not much else is known regarding the few plot details and casting but a recent set photo has leaked revealing Harley's new look.

Cathy Yan serves as the director for Birds of Prey, the second woman behind Patty Jenkins to direct a superhero film. Robbie not only stars in the lead role, but she is also a producer behind the film. The actress actually pitched the idea for a Birds of Prey movie back in 2015. The following year, WB announced that plans for the movie were moving forward.

The cast of Birds of Prey features Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Rosie Perez as Black Canary, Huntress, and Renee Montoya, respectively. Ella Jay Basco will be portraying young Cassandra Cain while Ewan McGregor is playing Roman Sionis, also known as Black Mask. Chris Messina is reportedly playing Victor Zsasz, a Gotham City serial killer. The rest of the cast includes Karen Fukuhara, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Charlene Amoia, and Ali Wong.
