Since the show ended, they have been enjoying their new relationship, splitting their time between Serena’s hometown in Canada, and Joe’s home in Chicago. They have plans to move to New York City together next year.

On the first day, Joe admitted that he wanted to meet Serena, and they had an immediate attraction. They exchanged roses throughout the weeks, falling more in love as the days passed. The only obstacle in their relationship was when Joe’s ex-girlfriend, Kendall Long, arrived in Mexico, but Joe was unwavering in his devotion to Serena. Their sweet admission of love for each other was one of the highlights of the season, and fans were thrilled to see them leave the show together engaged. Serena and Joe have said that they are not rushing to get married, but instead want to enjoy their new relationship and take things slowly after their whirlwind courtship.
In an exclusive interview with BachelorNation.com, Serena and Joe shared their plans for the upcoming holiday season. They spent Thanksgiving in Chicago with Joe’s family, and plan to spend Christmas in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada with Serena’s mom’s family. Joe revealed that he is excited to spend the holidays, “Eating, drinking, and shopping together!” As for what they’ll be eating, Serena and Joe often share posts on social media in various restaurants, but Serena is hoping for some home-cooking from Joe in the form of “Pasta covered in Sundays with Joe marinara sauce, obviously.” Sundays with Joe is Joe’s brand of pasta sauces which he launched in November 2020. Serena is clearly a fan.
Joe’s goal for this holiday season is to make sure that he and Serena make time for each other. He said, “We want to make sure we spend quality time together, not just time together.” Serena explained that they have learned a lot throughout these first few months as a couple, and they plan to take those lessons into 2022. She said, “These last few months have been very chaotic, and there is so much more to come! But we’ve learned to get through it all together as a team and we’ll be taking that into the new year!”
Serena and Joe were one of the cutest couples on Bachelor In Paradise, and it is wonderful to see them still going strong as they enter 2022. Hopefully they will achieve their dream of moving to New York City together, and then eventually take that walk down the aisle. Whatever path they choose, fans will be rooting for them.
