Actor Bill Skarsgard has transformed from Pennywise to ripped action star for his latest role in Boy Kills World. Skarsgard is best known for his work as Pennywise, the demonic clown in the IT franchise. The actor portrayed the character in both IT and IT: Chapter 2, quickly becoming a new horror icon for his frightening look and enigmatic performance. Prior to that, Skarsgard starred in the horror series Hemlock Grove on Netflix and the Divergent sequel Allegiant.

Skarsgard has most recently appeared in comic book films like Deadpool 2 (as Zeitgeist) and Eternals (as Kro). He was recently cast as the lead in a new adaptation of James O'Barr's The Crow. Pennywise isn't the only Stephen King role Skarsgard has taken either, as he also portrayed The Kid in the Castle Rock series. The actor is currently appearing in the TV series Clark, where he plays the infamous Swedish gangster Clark Olofsson.

No stranger to transforming himself, Skarsgard has now taken on the guise of a ripped action star. In an image from EW, the actor shows off his new physique for Boy Kills World, an upcoming action film from director Moritz Mohr. Boy Kills World is described as a "dystopian fever dream action thriller," which has Skarsgard playing a deaf mute character with a "vibrant imagination." The actor underwent a two-month martial arts training regimen for the role, saying, "This was an incredible journey into something completely new for me." A rep for Boy Kills World said, "You've never seen an actor move like this in a movie." Check out the ripped image of Skarsgard below:

The Skarsgard family is no stranger to Hollywood, as the patriarch, Stellen Skarsgard, has appeared in numerous films throughout the last six decades, from Good Will Hunting to Dune. Stellan is the father of eight children, many of whom act, including Bill and Alexander. In fact, Alexander Skarsgard recently got exceptionally ripped for his part in Robert Eggers' The Northman, and now it appears that Bill is following in those footsteps for Boy Kills World. Aside from The Crow, Skarsgard will also appear in John Wick: Chapter 4 in a mysterious role, which hints at some more action-centric performances in his future.

Skarsgard has shown a tremendous talent for transforming into his roles, using his physical attributes as a tool for his performances, which was key to what he pulled off as Pennywise. The actor has been able to adapt to whatever the part needs in a physical sense, which continues to be an impressive feat, including this latest endeavor as an action star. It will be interesting to see what Skarsgard brings to The Crow, given this new transformation for Boy Kills World, as it will no doubt require a strong focus on his physical appearance and aptitude for action scenes.
