My Big Fat Fabulous Life is back for a whole new season, but TLC fans are unimpressed by the renewal news and wonder where the series will go from here. Fans watched Whitney Way Thore as she was left by her cheating fiance to have a baby with another woman.
Whitney has long been a friend of those who also struggle with body positivity and feeling comfortable in their own skin. During season one, she revealed she suffered from PCOS. Viewers learned she went from a size 12 to morbidly obese. The reality star has had a rough year, like most of us. Hers was due to her relationship breakdown with Chase Severino and their failed engagement. But most recently, her NoBS business has been called out for lack of attention. TLC viewers have really started questioning if the Greensboro native is committed to her company, fans, and the show.
TLC just released its press statement about the upcoming season, which is set to premiere on August 7. It reads that Whitney is putting Chase in the rearview mirror as she looks forward and starts thinking about new adventures. Not surprisingly, she has also moved back from Charlotte, N.C., to work on her NoBS Active with Jessica Powell. According to the press release, there may be a plot twist as Whitney has possibly found love again, but this time with a man in Paris! Even with all this exciting news, fans of the show are not convinced that it will be a good season and have taken to Reddit to let their opinions be known.
TLC viewers immediately formed their own plot twist upon hearing there was a love interest in Paris, suggesting she could've visited the city of love in 2019 while she was still with Chase, but production wouldn’t have wanted her to look like a cheater. Fans believe it is highly plausible that this could have been the reason Chase ghosted the star for a few weeks. The idea may sound far-fetched, but all is fair in love and reality TV.
Even though there may be a cell of Whitney haters, most fans are excited to see the premiere episode and the show return in general. The show has always been a positive outlet, and many fans often leave with a smile after the episode. Hopefully, this season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life will show everyone in a much better headspace.
