Fans of My Big Fat Fabulous Life have started to believe that Chase was just a paid boyfriend on the show, who was brought in to boost the network's ratings. The new season has only just aired, and Whitney is not ready to watch her breakup.

My Big Fat Fabulous Life is a TLC gem that hit the airways back in 2015. The show has made it to seven seasons. Whitney is a Greensborough, North Carolina, native who originally found fame when she posted a video of herself dancing. Usually, a video like this would not cause such hysteria, but she had true talent. She was struck with PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome), which caused her to gain a large amount of weight. Throughout the seasons, fans got to know Whitney's friends and family. The dancer’s positive outlook on life is what makes the show so enjoyable to watch.

Fans were devastated by the news that Whitney Way Thore split from her fiancé Chase Severino back in May. Fans did not see the breakup coming, as the two reality stars looked rock solid at the end of the last season. A change in circumstances has left the dancer solo once again. During the season premiere, fans watched as the couple planned a wedding that is now very unlikely to take place. The heartbreak is still affecting fans, as viewers watched the couple get engaged in picturesque Paris. However, some people who follow the show are questioning if their love story was even real. Many TLC fans found the way the breakup occurred to be odd. Whitney had taken to her Instagram account to let her fans know that Chase was going to be a father. Another woman was carrying his baby.

The couple had evidently not been able to self-isolate together during the first wave of the worldwide pandemic. They spent a lot of time apart. During that time, he reconnected with a former flame from college and ultimately broke Whitney's heart, as well as the hearts of My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans. Due to this information, many fans have started to believe that their relationship was not authentic, according to TV Shows Ace. They suspect that the TLC network paid him to be her boyfriend and fiancé. A now-unavailable tweet from SevenEagle read: "There’s something disingenuous about Whitney. Not to mention she’s a bad friend to Heather. The Chase storyline seems forced… so many of the male storylines with her seem fake."

As for the future, fans will continue to watch Whitney spout out wedding ideas, such as getting married in Ireland and mulling over potential wedding hashtags. Viewers are hoping that she can get her love life back on track after concentrating on herself for a little bit. As for Chase, he welcomed his beautiful baby girl in August. Fans aren’t thrilled with how quickly the reality star moved on, but even Whitney asked that he be left alone.
