Xavier Prather is the frontrunner to win the $750,000 grand prize on Big Brother 23, so it's time to look back at his best game moves and worst mistakes throughout this season. Coming into this competition, Xavier was introduced to BB23 viewers as a 27-year-old attorney from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. However, Xavier took a page from Derrick Levasseur's book and chose to lie about his real career. To his fellow co-stars, X. pretended to be a model and bartender.

All season long, Xavier was a part of every single large alliance in the game. Despite being invited by Brandon Frenchie to join the ill-fated Slaughterhouse, Xavier was also a founding member of the very successful Cookout alliance. Furthermore, X. was also a member of the Royal Flush alliance that made a few moves halfway through the season. In any of those many scenarios, Xavier kept his allies feeling secure and his enemies feeling calm, which is one of the hardest parts of playing Big Brother.

Along with the five other members of the alliance, Xavier helped to take the entire Cookout to the final six of the season. During certain tense moments between Derek Frazier, Azah Awasum, and Tiffany Mitchell, for instance, Xavier did what he could to re-establish trust between those players. He also developed strong personal bonds with the Cookout allies, which will likely persist even after the game is over.

Xavier Prather's Best Game Moves On BB23

The Cookout

Given the undeniable athleticism of Xavier, one of his very best moves this season was to throw as many competitions as he could afford to throw. Players like Christian Birkenberger, Kyland Young, and Derek Xiao didn't resist the urge to win more comps, and each of their BB23 evictions can be traced back to being threatening comp beasts. Another fantastic move from Xavier was to stay loyal to the Cookout alliance no matter which distractions came his way. In the endgame, it was also essential for X. to set up a Final 2 deal with Derek F. aside from the long-standing deal that X. had with Ky. Speaking of which, Xavier made solid moves during his two wins as Head of Household: first taking out Brent Champagne (who had been bothering the entire house) and then letting Kyland sit on the block (for Derek F. to take a shot at him).

Xavier Prather's Worst Mistakes On BB23

Xavier Prather on Big Brother 23 looking ahead

For a contestant who planned on never sitting on the block on Big Brother 23, things definitely didn't go Xavier's way this season. Specifically, X. fell into the block as many as five times on the show. Granted, Xavier was always a pawn, and he only received a single vote to evict throughout the entire season. Alas, he still sat on the block pretty often. Another major mistake from X. was not setting himself up well as an individual player within the Cookout. On one side, Tiffany, Hannah, and Azah were never going to take him to Final 2. In turn, Derek F.'s biggest loyalty was to Azah, and Kyland's "wildcard" gameplay could've always turned on Xavier sooner or later. In the endgame of BB23, X. had to rely on himself and Ky winning HOHs and POVs to make sure that they advanced week to week.

When all is said and done, Xavier is still the clearest frontrunner to win Big Brother 23. Some fans hope that they'll be surprised on finale night, but most viewers seem to be happy if X. wins. In any case, BB23 will crown the first-ever Black winner of the show, which is a monumental achievement.
