Big Brother 23 winner Xavier Prather has taken to social media to address the rumors that he's dating co-star Alyssa Lopez, reveal his post-season friendship with Derek Frazier, and talk about doing The Challenge with Christian Birkenberger. In July 2021, Xavier was introduced to fans as a houseguest on BB23. Despite being a 27-year-old attorney from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Xavier chose to lie to his co-stars by declaring that he primarily worked as a model outside the show.
As the season went on, Xavier joined alliances such as the ill-fated Slaughterhouse and the short-lived Royal Flush. Alas, his strongest allegiance was to the Cookout, which he formed with the other five Black contestants in the season - Azah Awasum, Derek Frazier, Hannah Chaddha, Kyland Young, and Tiffany Mitchell. Together, all six members of the Cookout got to the final six after concealing the existence of their alliance for months. In the end, Xavier was crowned the winner of Big Brother 23 by a unanimous vote.
Xavier has kept a mostly low profile since winning BB23, but he hosted his first-ever Instagram Q&A with the fans this week. As seen in the screenshots below, a fan asked X. what his favorite competitions on BB were. He declared that OTEV was his favorite, but BB Comics was a close second. Another follower asked which Big Brother houseguest he would live with outside of the show. Xavier said that it'd be Derek Frazier because he is "very clean and a great cook." A fan then asked if he'd ever do MTV's The Challenge, to which Xavier replied: "If they call [Christian Birkenberger] too."
Later, Xavier was asked if he and Alyssa Lopez were dating. This speculation had been going around on social media for a while despite Alyssa shutting down those rumors at every turn. Last year, the BB viewers were right to have seen a connection between Memphis Garrett and Christmas Abbott, so some fans insist on speculating about possible BB showmances even after hearing that nothing is going on. "Lol no we are not dating, but she is my bestie and the person I'm closest to from the house," Xavier wrote. Last but not least, a follower asked Xavier if he's watched the entire Big Brother 23 season yet. He replied, "Not a single episode."
This Q&A was a great opportunity for fans to catch up with Xavier since he won Big Brother 23. Understandably, Xavier hasn't been as active on social media as some of his co-stars. With that said, it's great that X. took the time this week to answer some of those lingering questions.
