Big Brother stars Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo have revealed the name and nickname that they've chosen for their baby boy. Even though their son will continue on with the family name of Victor Arroyo, the couple came up with a clever nickname for him as well: Arrow. Actually, the nickname was originally a typo made by a fan on social media. Nicole's due date is sometime in late July.
While Nicole and Victor were not technically in a showmance together while they competed on Big Brother 18, they will soon be added to the list of Big Brother parents. The couple announced they were expecting their first child together back in January. They later revealed that Nicole actually got pregnant the same night she left the Big Brother house after the All-Stars season last summer. In March, Nicole and Victor arranged an ice cream-themed gender reveal while they were in Florida for their wedding.
Now, as Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo continue to prepare for their baby's arrival, they've finally shared their son's legal name as well as his unique nickname. Nicole and Victor plan to keep the family name going by naming their son Victor Arroyo IV. However, they have also planned to nickname him Arrow. While it is adorable, many fans were shocked by the nickname and wondered where the couple got the idea from. Well, it was actually a "happy accident," according to Heavy. It wasn't Nicole nor Victor who originated the nickname. In fact, it was actually a fan. On the Facebook page for the couple's podcast, Coco Caliente, a fan accidentally misspelled the soon-to-be parents' last name. Instead of typing "Arroyo" they wrote "Arrow" by mistake.
When Nicole Franzel shared the story of her baby's name on her Instagram profile, the fan who had prompted that nickname idea revealed themselves in the comments section. The fan wrote, "Holy moley… THAT WAS ME!! Well technically it was my autocorrect… but YOU’RE SO WELCOME." While the simple typo was funny (and possibly just autocorrect's fault), it sparked a light in Nicole and Victor's heads. The couple knew they wanted to nickname their baby, as Nicole feared that their son would be called "Baby Vic" or "Little Vic" his entire life, even as an adult. However, she did not want to break Victor's family tradition. Nicole did not go into detail about what made the name stick out to her and Victor. All she said was that she thinks "Arrow is a bad a** name."
Just last week, Nicole gave yet another pregnancy update as she nears the last month of being pregnant. The Big Brother alum revealed that her baby is actually breached, meaning that he is not in the proper position for delivery. While she is actively working with a chiropractor to flip the baby, there is a possibility Nicole will need to have a C-section delivery. Since nothing is definite quite yet, Nicole is working on staying positive as she awaits the moment she can finally hold her baby in her arms.
