Former Big Brother winner Nicole Franzel is updating her fans on her new life as a mom. Nicole and her fellow Big Brother alum turned husband Victor Arroyo announced they were expecting their first child together back in January. Nicole later revealed that she got pregnant the night she left the Big Brother house following the All Stars season last summer.
Throughout the journey of her first pregnancy, Nicole shared updates with her fans. Towards the end, Nicole found herself faced with a few difficulties she was not expecting. She later revealed her baby was actually breech, which caused her doctors to schedule her for a C-section delivery. For the last few weeks of her pregnancy, Nicole and her doctors worked to try to flip the baby. However, it was ultimately unsuccessful. Although this change of plans frightened Nicole, she was trying to stay positive as she prayed for a healthy baby boy.
Nicole finally did have her baby via C-section on Friday, July 23. Now, she is giving fans an update on her life as a new mom. Late Monday, just three days after becoming a mom, Nicole took to her Instagram story to check in with her fans. The background of the post was a photo of her son's tiny foot. She started off by admitting she has been quiet on social media, as she has been "enjoying time with Arrow." Nicole has also been trying to adjust to her new life as a mom. She described the journey as "wild, fun, emotional, and scary." She and Victor have gotten zero sleep since Arrow's arrival last week, which is expected for first-time parents.
As for baby Arrow, he is "so sweet & cute," according to Nicole. He is a tiny baby, weighing just 6 pounds, 15 ounces when he was born. Because he is so small, most of the newborn clothing Nicole and Victor bought him before his arrival does not yet fit him. Needless to say, the parents quickly began to do some online shopping for new clothes. Nicole, who has previously been open about her battle with anxiety, does not yet feel comfortable with Arrow sleeping in the bassinet or crib. She admitted, "I don't trust the bassinet or crib at all yet, so I hold him all night and stay up." She then noted she feeds him "every 2 hours," therefore it is just easiest for her to hold him throughout the night.
Nicole concluded the post by explaining she just wanted to check in with her fans to say hi while also giving them an update. Everything is going well for the Arroyo family of three. While Nicole and Victor continue to figure out their new lives as parents, they are soaking up every minute spent with their new son.
