Big Brother is known for daring competitions, expecting the unexpected, and showmances involving Nicole Franzel and others. While being locked in the Big Brother household all summer, quite a few houseguests tend to spark a summer romance. An All-star and champion, Franzel has competed in three seasons and dated three houseguests since first playing Big Brother. She is known for her quality gameplay and strong social game, but she is also known for being a part of some of the show’s most popular showmances.
Nicole was single when she entered the household during seasons 16 and 18. A romance sparked with fellow houseguest Hayden Voss during season 16 and ended shortly after the season finale. During season 18, Nicole met Corey Brooks, and pursued this romance outside the house as well. After her breakup with Corey, Nicole reconnected with another fellow BB18 houseguest, Victor Arroyo. Two seasons later, Nicole and Victor returned to the Big Brother house as guests and this time, they left as an engaged couple.
Nicole’s first showmance started in 2014 when she met Hayden. The pair was not quick to kiss on camera, but the spark between them was quite obviously there. When houseguests caught on to their spark, fellow BB16 houseguest Christine Brecht put the showmance known as “Haycole” up for eviction, leading to Hayden’s departure. The romance continued outside the house for a brief period of time, but it is unclear when the couple broke it off. Nicole made the split known before playing the game again, telling everyone she was single and playing for herself this time around.
Despite not wanting to get caught up in another showmance, Nicole met Corey in 2016 during her second summer as a Big Brother houseguest. Their romance was the talk of the season, and the couple made it quite far into the competition. But they were inevitably nominated next to each other right before the semi-finals. Nicole was named the season 18 champion, and dated Corey after their season ended. While the reason for the split is unknown, it is assumed that the distance between Michigan and Texas was too much for the duo to handle, making them another showmance ending in a breakup.
During season 18, Nicole also met Victor, who was just a friend during their time in the house. The former houseguests reunited a year later for the season 19 premiere, and everything fell into place. During season 20, Nicole surprised the houseguests to host a competition. Victor had a surprise for Nicole too and proposed in the same house that they in which they met. She returned as an All-Star for Season 22, and as a newly engaged woman, she played the game without any showmances to distract her.
After many postponements, Nicole and Victor tied the knot on Tuesday, March 16. Their closest family and friends gathered for a small celebration in Winter Park, Florida. The couple is expecting their first child this summer. She is the third woman to play this game that has walked away with the grand prize and love. After being involved in a few showmances during her time on Big Brother, the former houseguest has finally found her happy ending and is ready to start a family.
