Former Big Brother winner Nicole Franzel has some advice for fans who are planning on applying for the show. Nicole took to her Instagram Story Friday to encourage her followers to submit their applications soon if they are interested in being on the show. Nicole also added some advice for those applying. Big Brother is currently casting for season 23 which is set to air this summer.

Nicole first entered the Big Brother house as a super fan during season 16. Despite making it to jury, Nicole returned two summers later to redeem herself. At the age of 24, Nicole took home the half a million dollar grand prize after a summer of hard work inside the house. Nicole returned to the game yet again this past summer for the All Star season. She came quite close to being the first ever player to win the show twice; however, her best ally Cody Calafiore blindsided her when he evicted her on finale night. Cody recently revealed that he still adores Nicole despite their falling out.

Who better to take advice from than a past Big Brother winner. Nicole took to her Instagram Story to share a video talking about the application process for the show. In the short video, Nicole explained that Big Brother is currently halfway through the casting process for the upcoming season. The casting team is actively looking over submission videos. Nicole included a swipe up link to the casting website where interested applicants can submit their videos. She wanted to ensure that fans had the accurate website when applying.

After giving all of the logistics, Nicole added a bit of her own advice to help applicants get noticed by the casting directors. She advised applicants to "make sure [you] show [your] personality." With the rise of social media use such as TikTok and Instagram, individual personalities can be hidden behind the trends. Nicole explained that these apps did not exist when she applied nearly eight years ago. She encouraged applicants to not use videos from social media apps as a part of their submission. In Nicole's opinion, the best way to apply for the show is with a "simple selfie video." She concluded the video by wishing good luck to anyone who may be applying.

A lot of things have changed since Nicole first applied to be on the show. Like she said, there a ton of new social media apps and abilities that many would think to be a good choice to use as a part of their application. When it comes down to it, the casting directors for Big Brother are not looking for the most creative and well put together video; they are looking for the most unique and fun personalities that will do well on the show.
