Longtime viewers of Big Brother know that despite how often they may watch the live feeds and keep up with what's going on inside the house, they can never truly predict what will occur throughout the season. The show's host Julie Chen Moonves has always warned both houseguests and viewers to "expect the unexpected." Over the last 21 years of Big Brother, there have been some shocking moments to take place inside the house. Here are a few.

Dan's Funeral

Dan Gheesling addressing the houseguests during his famous Funeral speech on Big Brother.

During season 14 of the show, returnee, Dan Gheesling, called a house meeting in order to hold his own "Big Brother funeral." He shared his love for each of the remaining houseguests, while also throwing his best ally, Danielle Murphree under the bus. While all of the houseguests were left both shocked and confused, Danielle was heartbroken by what Dan had said about her. He later pulled her in a room alone to explain his master plan to stay safe. Although she was angry, Dan's plan did in fact work. He even made it to final two. This is now perceived as one of the most iconic moments on the show.

Bye Shane, Sorry Danielle

Dan's funeral was not the only time Dan shocked both viewers and Danielle. In another master plan, Dan convinced Danielle to use the POV on him ultimately causing her showmance partner Shane Meaney to go on the block due to the lack of remaining houseguests. Despite promising Danielle and Shane that he would keep Shane safe on eviction night, Dan pulled the biggest blindside ever by sending Shane out the door, once again leaving Danielle heartbroken.

Evel Dick & Danielle

Dani Briones and Evel Dick Big Brother

Danielle Briones (née Donato) was left blindsided before the competition even truly began when her estranged father walked in the Big Brother house to join her in the game. Despite their rocky relationship, the father daughter duo managed to put their outside feelings aside and make it to the final two together.

Kaysar In & Out of the House

During season 6, Kaysar was evicted on day 33. Then, on day 40, Kaysar reentered the game after fans voted to bring him back in the house. Upon reentering, Kaysar threw the HOH competition to Jennifer, who ultimately betrayed him by nominating him for eviction yet again. He was then voted out of the house for the second time in just two weeks.

Frankie's BOB Win

Frankie Grande, who is the older brother of pop sensation Ariana Grande, entered the Big Brother house during season 16. While he was liked by most of the houseguests, there came a point when the house wanted to turn on Frankie and ultimately send him packing. During a Battle of the Block competition, Frankie's partner, Caleb Reyes threw the competition, refusing to compete. In doing so, he, and the rest of the houseguests, were hoping Frankie would lose the competition without his partner; however, in a shocking turn of events, Frankie pulled off the solo win. Christine Varner recently claimed that production played a role in this win by redesigning the competition in order for it to be easier for Frankie to win.
