Like all reality shows, Big Brother has a wide variety of character types. Some contestants prove villainous and selfish, others more heroic. Some people don't lend themselves to being liked and subsequently earn the ire of both fellow house guests and fans. And some people don't have a malicious bone in their body and are both effortlessly cool and likable.

While Big Brother is typically associated with drama and cattiness, that's doing a large disservice to the many friendly and likable contestants that have appeared on the show. These are but a few of them.

Danielle Reyes

There's no getting around it - Danielle Reyes deserved to win Big Brother 3. Danielle was a highly likable player, and many fans considered her an easy victor owing to her strong social game and strategic prowess.

Unfortunately, the jury found her confessionals too arrogant and subsequently voted for Lisa Donahue -- a result that earned the ire of fans and resulted in a permanent change to the jury format. Danielle was confident but likable, and she remained incredibly loyal to Jason Guy. The fact that Danielle was the first houseguest to reach the final two with no prior eviction votes speaks for itself.

David Lane

David Lane was the resident goofball of Big Brother 4. Unfortunately, that's exactly what cost him the game. David was well known for his funny and friendly personality, resulting in the other house guests referring to him as "The Class Clown."

David didn't seem to have a malicious bone in his body, and he made for the most entertaining contestant of his respective season. However, he wasn't taken very seriously owing to his lighthearted persona, and David was evicted in just the third week, placing 10th.

Tyler Crispen

Tyler Crispen proved a social master throughout his time on Big Brother 20. Thanks to his incredibly friendly and charming personality, he made final twos with everyone in the Level Six alliance and managed to secure everyone's trust.

He was eventually named America's Favorite Houseguest owing to his likability. And while his game on Big Brother 22 wasn't nearly as strong (with a few rivals, clashes, and a disappointing sixth-place finish), his legacy as one of Big Brother's most charming house guests was already secure.

Ian Terry

One of the youngest winners in the history of Big Brother (winning Big Brother 14 at just 21), Ian Terry proved to be a remarkable human being. Ian enjoyed many friendships throughout the house thanks to his welcoming personality, and he frequently took punishments (like being a have-not) without audible complaint.

When it came to his premature eviction in Big Brother 22, Ian showed immense class by not taking things personally and wishing the other houseguests the best of luck. He is not one to cause drama or yell, and his calm approach to the game resulted in an easy 6-1 win over Dan Gheesling.

Jessica Hughbanks

Jessica Hughbanks proved herself a masterful player on Big Brother 8, dominating the game through a combination of physical prowess and social strategy. Her strong social game and inviting personality granted her access to numerous dominating alliances, including the Late Night Crew alliance and the pairing of Jessica & Eric Stein with Dick Donato & Daniele Briones.

Making friends and alliances obviously came very easy to the friendly Jessica, and it carried her far into the game. Unfortunately, said game collapsed once Zach Swerdzewski won HOH.

Britney Haynes

Despite placing fourth on Big Brother 12 (being outside of The Brigade), Britney Haynes was awarded America's Favorite Houseguest owing to her likable personality and impeccable sense of humor.

Many fans consider Britney to be one of the game's greatest social masters, as she garnered complete command over the house owing to her charm and quick sense of humor. She had the rare ability to make everybody laugh, and her hilarious Diary Room confessionals are the stuff of Big Brother legend. She's certainly one of the friendliest contestants, and also one of the most entertaining.

Jordan Lloyd

Jordan Lloyd of Big Brother 11 was one half of a beloved showmance - the other half being her current husband, Jeff Schroeder. They were deemed "America's Couple" owing to their electrifying chemistry and adorable interactions, and Jordan's kindhearted friendliness eventually resulted in her 5-2 over Natalie Martinez.

To many fans, Jordan is the cute Southern girl (hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina) with a delightful accent and a lovable, outgoing personality. It's really hard not to like her.

Donny Thompson

According to TVOverMind, Donny Thompson received a record 5.2 million votes to become America's Favorite Houseguest. He's obviously an enormous fan favorite and the biggest standout from Big Brother 16 (despite placing a disappointing eighth).

There were many reasons to adore Donny, including his friendly personality and warm approach to both the game and his alliances. He was also an underdog throughout much of the season (his Team America alliance was not very good), and fans certainly love a good underdog.

Dan Gheesling

Dan Gheesling is well known throughout the Big Brother fandom. Not only did he orchestrate one of the biggest blindsides in Big Brother history (getting out Shane Meaney in Big Brother 14), but he's also regarded as the best player of all time.

Dan is both a strategic and social master, and he allowed his friendly personality to carry him far. He was the first contestant to reach the final two on two separate seasons, which serves as an obvious indicator of his strong social gameplay. Few winners are as nice and charming as Dan Gheesling.

Zach Rance

If it wasn't for Donny Thompson, then Zach Rance could have been America's Favorite Houseguest from Big Brother 16. Zach quickly established himself as a fan favorite owing to his silly personality and peculiar behavior. He was typically regarded as the resident goofball, which included wearing Victoria Rafaeli's pink hat throughout the house.

Unfortunately, his social game proved a little too weak (despite being in three separate alliances), as he ruined The Bomb Squad and earned a reputation for being untrustworthy. Still, there's no denying that he was a friendly and entertaining houseguest.
