It has been nine years since Mike "Boogie" Malin last competed inside the Big Brother house and fans are wondering what he has been up to. Since his time on the show, the All-Star winner grew his career in the restaurant industry. Then, after having a ton of success, things began going south for Mike as he found himself in trouble with the law. These issues only continued to get worse as Mike began getting in trouble for different things.

Since Big Brother season 1 was so different in 2000, Mike was one of the first houseguests to play the game. He first competed during season 2 of the show. During his initial season, Mike not only was a part of one of the first-ever showmances but he also formed the infamous "Chilltown" alliance involving his best friend on the show Dr. Will Kirby. Although Mike did not win his first season, he returned for the All-Star season in 2006 before making a third appearance on the show as a coach in season 14.

When Mike got evicted during week 10 of season 14, it was the last time Mike was ever inside the Big Brother house. Following his three-season run, Mike began to focus his attention on his prospering career in the restaurant industry. According to Heavy, he and his good friend Lonnie Moore teamed up to form the Dolce Group. The pair even managed to gain celebrity investors one of which was actor Ashton Kutcher. According to Bar & Restaurant, the Dolce Group set out to introduce "concepts engineered for the Generation X audience while being marketed and backed by the re-emergence of the celebrity investor concept." Mike went on to open five restaurants. His businesses consisted of Geisha House, Dolce Enoteca, Bella Cocina, Les Deux, and Ketchup. It is unclear whether any of his original locations are still open.

As he was hitting the peak of his success, Mike found himself in trouble with the law. In 2014, TMZ reported that Mike was facing a $10.5 million judgment. The news outlet explained that this is "what happens when you stiff your landlord for 8 years." Around the same time, Mike was also sued by a few of his business partners for "allegedly embezzling money and using it for gambling and s*x." Mike's legal woes then settled down for quite a few years. In 2020, Mike was arrested for a DUI as well as drug possession while in Las Vegas. Then, just a few months ago, Mike was found guilty of stalking his former alliance member and good friend Dr. Will Kirby.

Mike will not be making his return to reality television any time soon. Instead, he will be spending his time dealing with his numerous charges for both his 2020 arrest in Vegas as well as his case involving Will. As an outcome of being found guilty, Mike was sentenced a two-year probation as well as three days in Los Angeles County jail. Seems like all of the luck has run out for Mike "Boogie" himself.
