Memphis Garrett has made his Big Brother 22: All-Stars showmance with Christmas Abbott official, but he's leaving pictures with ex-girlfriend Dominique Scalise on his Instagram. This has been a very eventful Big Brother post-season, full of twists and turns and unforeseen events that the fans did not expect to keep up with at this time. In fact, some fans are even calling the post-season more "fun" than the season itself, which felt like a slow burn toward the obvious in its entirety. But even considering all of the shocking events and revelations that have come out in the post-season, nothing compares to the breaking news of a BB22 showmance.
No Big Brother 22 fan realistically expected a showmance to happen in a house full of returning players who are now mostly married and in committed relationships. Even the younger All-Stars that got cast in this season were trying to win the show to start their new lives and families with their loved ones. As a whole, there were only four contestants on BB22 who were single - and all four of them seemed extremely incompatible with each other. In turn, the fans watched many male-female friendships form, which was a great new dynamic for the show. Janelle Pierzina and Kaysar Ridha rekindled their decades-long friendship. Daniele Donato and Cody Calafiore thought of each other as kindred spirits. And then there was Christmas and Memphis.
It was hard for most to believe the Big Brother: All-Stars speculation that Christmas Abbott and Memphis Garrett were developing feelings for each other while in the house. There were allegations of a kiss, but it never happened. There were jokes about "laundry time," but all of the houseguests used the laundry section to speak more freely away from the cameras. It is hard to deny that there was something there growing between them, but it was only out of the house that Memphis and Christmas came forward and told the world that they had, indeed, started dating. Because they were both in committed relationships while on BB22, this announcement also meant that they had each broken up with their respective partners. Nonetheless, Memphis is apparently deciding to leave all his pictures with ex-girlfriend Dominique Scalise on his Instagram grid. It is fair to say that most mature adults do that - they can't just erase their past relationship by taking down a few pictures, after all. But given that Dom Scalise was noteworthy for not having any pictures with Memphis on her own IG, Memphis' decision to keep his pictures with her on his page seems a little more of an active choice than it would've otherwise been.
This week, Christmas and Memphis took a trip to Orlando, Florida and met with a few of their Big Brother friends. These other BB players include Danielle Murphree, Tommy Bracco, Kaycee Clark, among others. The reason for all of these players being there is that they are supporting a charity event being held in Orlando.
The Big Brother 22: All-Stars season didn't end when it ended, and it won't end until it (somehow) ends. So we'll keep checking back on these All-Stars and keep reporting on their post-season journeys.
