Memphis Garrett has revealed that his romantic feelings for Christmas Abbott started around week 6 on Big Brother 22: All-Stars. When this All-Stars cast was announced, the fans quickly concluded that they should not expect any showmances to be formed. There were only four single house guests in the house: Da'Vonne Rogers, David Alexander, Enzo Palumbo, and Nicole Anthony. Some fans thought that there was a chance that Da'Vonne and David could develop something over time, but most viewers understood that there was nothing ever there.

Overall, however, this was one of the most mature casts in the history of Big Brother. The vast majority of the players were either married or in long-term relationships, and many of them also kept in mind that their young children might be watching the show. It became apparent early on that this season would not feature a showmance, even if certain friends appeared to have an additional layer of chemistry in them. But they all had existing commitments to go back to, and the chances of someone cheating on the show were very slim.

Via Us Weekly, Memphis Garrett has confirmed that his feelings for Christmas Abbott went from platonic to romantic in week 6 of Big Brother: All-Stars. For context, that week was when Daniele Donato was HOH and Ian Terry became the season's first jury member. During the show, the fans were indeed speculating that something was happening between Memphis and Christmas inside the house, but those rumors only started later into the season. By Memphis' own confession, however, it appears that those feelings surfaced much earlier. Nonetheless, Memphis once again reiterated that all the fan-created rumors - that they had perhaps shared a kiss, or that they perhaps used "laundry time" as a code term for something else - hold no truth to them.

So even if the fans were right that something was growing between Christmas Abbott and Memphis Garrett while they were on Big Brother 22, and even if Memphis admitted that those feelings did start early on, the rumor that they kissed inside the house is still being dismissed as fake. Still, there is something to be said that the viewers were able to sense that something was going on, even if there wasn't any visual or verbal evidence in the BB22 live feeds. Whatever changes the fans noticed in Christmas and Memphis' behavior was real, and this latest statement only reaffirms that notion.

Well, it turns out that Big Brother 22: All-Stars did have a showmance after all. But like Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo on BB18, it was a showmance that only became real on the outside.
