Tiffany Mitchell has won the ninth Head of Household competition on Big Brother 23, which followed Sarah Beth Steagall's eviction by a vote of 5-1. After 22 seasons of Black houseguests being excluded from dominant alliances and major game moves on Big Brother, a six-person alliance is now on its way to make history. Since the very first week, the Cookout alliance has been dominating the BB23 game. At this point, it's very possible that all six of them will make it to Final 6.

Along with Tiffany, the Cookout alliance on Big Brother season 23 includes Azah Awasum, Derek Frazier, Hannah Chaddha, Kyland Young, and Xavier Prather. This formation was intentional, with all six of those houseguests agreeing that they needed to make history on the show. The game has now reached its Final 8, with all six Cookout allies still in the house. They only have to evict two more people for the entire alliance to reach Final 6, which has always been their big master plan.

Now, Tiffany has become the ninth HOH of Big Brother 23. Given how close the Cookout is to getting all six of its alliance members into the Final 6, it is a pretty safe bet that they'll target the only two non-Cookout members still left in the house: Claire and Alyssa. Tiffany and Claire have been good friends throughout this season, whereas Xavier developed a deeper bond with Alyssa following the eviction of her showmance partner, Christian Birkenberger. Nonetheless, Tiff and X seem ready and willing to evict either one of those two women this week.

In any case, there's still the Power of Veto competition looming ahead, so Claire or Alyssa could win safety for the week. If one of them wins safety, it's a given that the other person will be the target of the week on Big Brother 23. Alas, in the event that neither Claire and Alyssa win safety, the Cookout will have to meet and decide which player is a bigger threat to the alliance and should go home first. Last week, it seemed likely that the Cookout was going to evict Claire before Alyssa. However, it now seems like Alyssa might become a target before Claire. This week's target will only be solidified after the veto is won.

This should be yet another exciting week of gameplay on BB23. The Cookout will be imploding any minute now, but it seems unlikely that they'll take shots at one another before the Final 6. With that said, "expect the unexpected."
