Brandon French, a.k.a. "Frenchie" has won the first Head of Household competition of Big Brother 23, which means that he can potentially set the tone for the entire season. Winning the first HOH of the season wasn't always a great idea during the old-school era of Big Brother. In the past, the houseguests were mostly scared about getting blood on their hands so early in the game. After all, the first HOHs are always the first players who need to show their hand and make a move in the season.

On the other hand, becoming the first HOH of the season has been pretty advantageous in recent years, and many houseguests went into Big Brother 23 wanting to fight for power right away. With that said, the team twist on BB23 meant that only the four Team Captains of the season could become the first Head of Household. As a bonus, the winning Team Captain will grant immunity to his or her entire team, which is a fantastic advantage in week 1.

Brandon Frenchie has won the first HOH competition of Big Brother 23, which means that his teammates Azah Awasum, Britini D'Angelo, and Derek Frazier all got immunity for the week. It's still too early to predict which players Frenchie will put on the block. However, he has been very outspoken in the past on social media about taking out the jocks of the season as soon as he could. If he follows that logic, it would make sense for him to nominate players like Brent Champagne, Christian Birkenberger, and Travis Long to go on the block.

Being the first HOH of the season is a game-changer, but there is still a lot of Big Brother ahead to be played. One of Frenchie's targets could win Power of Veto, for instance, and there is still the brand-new Wildcard Competition looming on the horizon to grant immunity to yet another houseguest. With that said, if nothing changes, it is likely that Frenchie will try to put two "alpha male" competitors on the block.

The season is only getting started, but the possibilities are endless, and the fans are extremely excited! Overall, the BB23 premiere was a fantastic episode, so there's a lot for the viewers to look forward to. In addition, the Big Brother 23 live feeds are going up tonight, so expect new updates from Screen Rant whenever any major development breaks.
