With Big Brother 22: All-Stars hitting its halfway point, the remaining houseguests learned that once evicted, they would not be returning back home. Instead, they will be making their way to the jury house, where they will stay for the remainder of the season up until finale night. So what exactly is the jury house and how does it work?

The jury house is where all the evicted houseguests live up until the final two houseguests are revealed. Then, the jury comes back to cast their votes on who they believe should win the $500,000 grand prize. During this time, the jury does not have access to the outside world, but they do have access to many other things while inside the house. In some cases, the pre-jurors can compete to try and earn their place back inside the house. But due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, that did not take place this season.

While inside the jury house, the jury members must continue to stay unconnected from the outside world, just as they would if they were still in the house. This time,  however, the lack of connection is crucial to avoid spoilers from the game. Despite avoiding spoilers, jurors do get DVD footage of prior competitions and nomination ceremonies, but with the diary room sessions excluded. According to Distractify, while in the jury house, the jury members also have access to movies, games, a backyard with a pool, and sometimes even a private beach.

Once the final two houseguests are revealed on finale night, the jury members then have the all-important decision of who they would like to vote to win the competition. But before they make their choice, they are allowed to ask the final two houseguests questions about their gameplay during their time in the house. Finally, the jury casts their vote on who they would like to win without revealing the name of the person they voted for. In order to win Big Brother, you need to receive at least five votes from the jury.

The jury will gain its first member when either Tyler or Ian are evicted from the BB22: All-Stars house. This will be the first time that either of the two nominees will enter the jury house, as both made it to finale night on their original seasons, with Ian winning BB14 and Tyler becoming the runner-up on BB20. Viewers will have to tune into the eviction episode on Thursday, September 17th to find out which of the two nominees will be the first to enter the jury house.
