Julie Chen Moonves recently revealed the length of time that she plans to continue appearing as the host of Big Brother on CBS. Even though Julie has been the host of Big Brother since the show first premiered in 2000, the fans sometimes wonder if she'll ever step away from the role. From what Julie had to say in the recent interview, however, the fans have nothing to worry about.

Although Julie Chen has been a part of every season of the show, longtime viewers actually have some mixed emotions about her. While some feel like the series would not be the same without Julie hosting every live premiere, finale, eviction, and exit interview, others seem to think that Julie is not an essential aspect of the show. Specifically, these fans fear that Julie doesn't have much interest in the show, even though she has previously claimed otherwise.

When Julie Chen started hosting the first-ever season of Big Brother, she was only 30 years of age. As the years went by, every summer brought up the possibility of Julie potentially exiting the show. Now, however, the longtime host is actually weighing in on her future with the show. In a recent interview with EW, Julie Chen revealed that she does not plan on leaving the show anytime soon. When asked about her future in the hosting role, Julie responded: "Let me just say this, Bob Barker hosted The Price Is Right for 35 years, so get that skinny microphone ready!" Clearly, Julie wants to continue being a part of Big Brother for as long as she possibly can.

Regardless of whether the fans believe Julie Chen's answer, it seems like she truly loves Big Brother. Thus, she hopes to continue on as the host for "as long as [she] can form a sentence." After 21 years and 26 seasons (including Celebrity Big Brother and Big Brother: Over The Top), Julie cannot imagine what her life would be like without this franchise. She continued on to say, "I can't imagine the show existing and me not being part of it." Julie concluded by assuring fans that, as long as the show continues to air, she will continue to host it should CBS allow her to. She would never say no to returning for another season.

While it has not been confirmed that Big Brother will return next summer for yet another season, one thing is for sure: if there's another season, Julie will be there. BB23 just kicked off earlier this week, and so far, the fans have been pleasantly surprised by the new cast. Since Julie has previously mentioned that she sees the houseguests as her kids, Julie now has 16 new babies to watch over all summer long. All things considered, Julie is very excited to watch a brand-new season of twists, drama, and laughs unfold.
