Big Brother alum Jessica Nickson is bashing digital pregnancy tests for giving false results. Jessica was a part of season 19 of the show back in 2017. After being inside the house for just a few short days, Jessica began to grow feelings for Cody Nickson. The two quickly formed one of many showmances of the season.
Jessica and Cody are now one of the few Big Brother showmances that went on to get married. Because they were targeted as a duo throughout the entire time they were both in the game, Jessica and Cody managed to form an extremely close relationship. The couple tied the knot one year after competing inside the house together in 2018. Jessica and Cody later welcomed two daughters into the world, Maverick and Carter. Cody also has an older daughter from a previous relationship.
Earlier this year, Cody admitted that he was hoping to have another baby with Jessica sometime in 2021. Because of this want to grow their family, Cody and Jessica have been trying to get pregnant for quite some time now. Unfortunately, a digital pregnancy test recently gave the couple false hope. Jessica shared a lengthy yet vulnerable post on Instagram Monday bashing digital pregnancy tests. The morning after Halloween, Jessica took a pregnancy test which ultimately had positive results. She and Cody were both ecstatic that after months of trying they were finally going to be growing their family together. Then, five days later, her worst nightmare came true. After finding blood in the toilet, Jessica feared she had a miscarriage.
After confiding in Cody as she became quite emotional, Jessica took another pregnancy test only to get negative results. She quickly called her doctor to explain what had happened over the five-day span. The doctor then explained to Jessica that she was most likely not pregnant to begin with because if she was, her hormones would have still resulted in a positive test. A devastated Jessica recalled, "I had emotional whiplash and I was exhausted." Although she was relieved that it was not a miscarriage, Jessica is angry at the pregnancy test company for this emotional rollercoaster of a week she and Cody was put through in the midst of building their new dream home. She continued on, "Now for it to tell me I am pregnant and it to be wrong feels like a cruel joke."
As the Big Brother alum continue to navigate through these hard yet confusing times, Jessica is asking her fans to be nothing but kind to her. The last week has been extremely strenuous on the couple. Despite this, Jessica worked up the courage to share her experience with her fans. In return, she just asks for their support as they move past this experience.
