Big Brother 22: All-Stars legend Janelle Pierzina has updated the fans on her experience fighting back COVID-19, which has included severe inflammation and lung damage. Janelle competed on four seasons of Big Brother: BB6, BB7 (a.k.a. the first All-Stars), BB14, and BB22 (a.k.a. the second All-Stars). The fans saw Janelle on TV as recently as 2020, and once again cheered her on to get far in the game. Unfortunately, however, Janelle was eliminated in week three for being too big of a threat.

Nonetheless, Janelle Pierzina's overall journey on the show is a victorious one, considering that she made it to the top three on both Big Brother 6 and Big Brother 7: All-Stars. After leaving BB22, Janelle experienced a reality TV career renaissance and became informally known as the Queen of Big Brother. She talked about wanting to compete on Survivor, and how she planned on putting together a Selling Sunset-like reality series about her successful career in real estate. However, as seen in the tweet included below, this week started with the worrisome news that Janelle had tested positive for COVID-19 and was experiencing lung damage.

Now, Janelle is updating the Big Brother fans with more recent news about her COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment. After coming back from the hospital, Janelle updated the fans in a tweet (included below) about what is going on: "Mild case of asthma went to mild to severe inflammation. They had to give me ventilation treatment. My lungs are scarred but healing." Alas, this recovery process won't be as easy or as short as one would hope. Janelle wrote, "They said it's going to take at least 3 months to repair. Please be safe out there everyone." It is good news that Janelle is in a stable condition, but it sounds like it'll take quite a long time for her to fully recover.

In August 2020, the production of Big Brother 22: All-Stars was filled with newly-established COVID-19 protocols in order to make sure that everyone involved in front of and behind the cameras was safe. Everything ran smoothly, and the contestants all went back to their homes safe and sound. On the other hand, most contestants had hopes that they'd leave the BB22 house to find a much safer world with less social distancing, and it was a tough reality shock for them to find out that things were not only the same, but also worse than they had been.

The fans are wishing Janelle Pierzina a speedy recovery from this positive COVID-19 diagnosis. She is usually a very busy real estate agent, so this will undoubtedly set her back not only on a health level but also professionally. Needless to say, however, Janelle will surely figure things out, recover quickly, and come back stronger than ever.
