As the final stretch of Big Brother: All-Stars gets underway, a new winner is about to be crowned. While All-Stars has been largely derided by fans, it's worth recalling that fans experienced similar disappointment just one season ago when Jackson Michie cruised towards victory on Big Brother 21. Here's everything you need to know about Jackson, both during and after BB21.

In some ways, the controversy that marred much of Big Brother's 21st season has unfairly impacted public perception of Jackson's gameplay. Of course, Jackson did make several inappropriate comments and so he deserves any vitriol that comes his way. But he did also manage to control the vast majority of BB21 and therefore deserved his win over then-girlfriend Holly Allen. Jackson played an aggressive game, volunteering as "Camp Director" his first week in the house, and organizing the "Six Shooters" alliance before splitting off with Holly and running the endgame. It wasn't a flashy win, as BB21 was notoriously lacking in blindsides or unexpected moments, but Jackson did dominate the season, much like previous winners who have garnered significantly more respect.

Although Jackson did have to answer for some of his actions after leaving the house last summer, he has remained largely under the radar over the past year. A native of Nashville, TN, Jackson moved from his home in Los Angeles, CA to Las Vegas, NV. He and Holly may no longer be together, but according to his Instagram, Jackson seems plenty happy living in the Sin City with his dog, Sahara, who even has his own Instagram account! Jackson continues to update fans on his personal life, and even provides advice on fitness and healthy eating as an ambassador for various brands, but he is surprisingly silent on all things Big Brother. Perhaps due to his controversial status within the BB community, Jackson has had little to say about the latest season of Big Brother. Several former players have commented on Big Brother: All-Stars, and Jackson's opinion could have been particularly interesting, as both Nicole Anthony and David Alexander competed on his season. Nevertheless, he seems to have found happiness doing his own thing in Las Vegas, removing himself from the show that won him $500,000 last summer.

Over the past couple of seasons, Big Brother has struggled to create the sort of great, unexpected moments that have come to define the show over the years. Jackson's victory last season was well-deserved, even if it did feel somewhat expected. With just a few weeks left on All-Stars, only time will tell if this season may offer a similar result.
